For sitting politicians who were actually torpedoed by tweets, one of the dickwad congressmen from my state led a charge to get another congressman kicked off a committee for sharing Sandy Hook conspiracy theories. Meanwhile sitting politicians rarely seem to get in much trouble for trading insults, and many where elected after lobbing insults. But if we're talking deliberately ignored news, I've noticed that nobody on this board has once brought up the allegations against Cuomo despite there being photos of him sexually harassing women when they'd previously lent every credence under the sun to accusations against other politicians where all you had was one person's word.
