Ive found as Im getting older, that games with a lot of customizationhave appealed less and less to me. I completely recognize it looks like an A+ game though, dont get me wrong. Just not for me.

Cyberpunk actually looks like the perfect game for ZenOfThunder but it also looks like a broken mess and I know it will be $20 with all the DLC and patches at some point so I don't see the point getting it day 1

Personally I have no plans on playing it until after I play through the Witcher 3 and I'm already waiting for the PS5 patch for that which will probably come after all the cyberpunk patches so I'm in it for the long haul

I was pretty hyped but the constant delays and the reported bugfest kinda killed it for me

I definitely want it, but I don't think my current PC will do it justice, so I'm waiting until I get around to upgrading.

Of course, when I do get my PC, I'll finally be able to play Control and Hitman 2 with decent performance, so they'll come first...

I want to know if anyone else has this feeling: whenever I play a game where it's really glitchy or have performance issues, I get so taken out of the experience that most of my thoughts become "i hope this doesn't crash" or "i better save before i get softlocked" or "what stupid glitch will happen next" and as a result I literally do not pay attention to the game and I barely absorb any of the content while playing.

This must be common right? I feel like I'm starting to doubt myself because nobody seems worried about the state this thing is launching in (especially the console version) and everyone seems to think that the huge Day 1 patch will just wave away all the issues and it will be mostly perfect Day 1.

Also this. It got announced and people were all hyped and I didn't get why. Like Keanu was involved but nothing looked good or worth playing and everyone was super into it.

i'm also super hyped that people thought it would be this bastion of social progress because of some token trans representation (which is actually really cool I am all about the options and representation) but it turns out it's still just a basic shitty video game for basic shitty gamers that doesn't have anything outside that token representation and if anything is just pissing off the marginalized groups it went out of its way to represent

it's shocking that a AAA game with hundreds of millions invested in it doesn't have time to be all about inclusivity and instead focuses on cool seizure machines

my backlog is too big to justify buying games day 1 unless I plan to abandon everything to play it, which is very rare

I might have been interested if I hadn't played Witcher 3 during quarantine and realized the hype for CD Projekt Red is completely overblown

I might still play this but definitely going to wait for a GOTY edition or something

I never really had much interest in it, mainly because the genre and aesthetic aren't really appealing to me.

I think Cyberpunk has a lot of cliches and repetitive/obvious and unsubtle themes.

it's not really cyberpunk's fault- it's just exceedingly rare that i buy a single-player game at full price

Also I pre-ordered Cyberpunk because it was but 2 get 1 at target and I wanted Watch Dogs and Valhalla

That being said I won't get to play it for a while anyway because those are longass games

Watched a few hours, while the look is neat the gameplay is just fps GTA with a level up system that brushes into fps tropes. I think I'm good waiting.

After months of having marketing shoved down my throat, I still don't even know what the game is. Like, nothing indicates gameplay, genre, nothing. I'm getting bombarded with media about this thing from ads, people hyping it, and more, but it's all style and no substance.

And I'm not the least bit interested in the style. Thus far nobody has presented anything to me about why I should give a fuck, so I'd love if it would just go the hell away already.

I've been playing Witcher 3 for the first time the last month or so. Over a 100 hours in, still haven't beaten it, but absolutely adoring the game. And I don't usually like these kinds of games - spent only 10 hours with Skyrim before falling off.

So yeah, I'm excited to play this now that I know I enjoy Witcher 3, especially since I enjoy sci-fi settings way more than fantasy. But I never got the hype from the trailers themselves either. And it's a buggy mess which was completely predictable, so I'm in the waiting camp. I'll get it on a next gen system when I get one of those and the jankiness has been patched.

So I WAS super hyped for it when it was announced and first being worked on, and I still am curious in it because I think I'll like it, but the marketing has been kind of a shit show with the trans stuff and then the crunch. So I kinda feel just icky supporting a game that honestly feels more and more to me like it's basically just gentrification in the form of a video game, pretending it's this revolutionary thing with the theme and setting without actually truly committing.

That being said, I still kinda want it but I'm gonna try to wait to get it used at Gamefly at some point.
