Soul Music is nowhere near the bottom of my list.

The early books were fine for their time, but sort of age poorly compared to the later books. And I dislike most of the Tiffany Aching books. And while I like Rincewind as a character, his books tend to be among the weaker ones.

If I had to pick a worst, though, it might be Eric. Or Pyramids.

The Watch books are almost always my favorites, though.

I thought Wyrd Sisters was pretty damned awful.

Conversely, I thought Going Postal was going to be a real dud, but it ended up being one of my favorites.

I didn't mind Wyrd Sisters, though it probably is one of the weaker witch books.

I really liked Lords and Ladies, though.

In my case, it probably didn't help one bit that the Kindle version was totally out of order (like, "we threw this into a blender" or "a rampant AI wrote this") for years despite just about all the reviews stating as much, which Amazon took at least 3 years to actually fix.

Read real books!

I did. For 30 years. Until I moved 3 times with way over 1000 books each time. Fun fact, the Kindle Paperwhite weighs next to nothing and moves 1000 books in my back pocket.

I resisted the whole Kindle thing for years, but except for a very few rare circumstances, I can't see going out of my way to accumulate a ton and a half of books again and lugging them around from apartment to apartment when the Kindle exists. Plus I can't properly read paper books in the dark.

Sorry PO, this is one I can't agree with you on.

I'm in the same boat. I have a room full of bookcases already, plus boxes of books that we don't have room to shelve. There are a handful of authors that I will still buy physical copies for and the rest are ebooks now.

Witches Abroad is generally considered the worst from my research. Moving Pictures pretty bad from the early ones I've heard too. Mort and Night Watch (if not Night Watch by itself) are considered the best. That reminds me, I need to read Interesting Times given its content and the...times we are living in...

Oh... oops!

When I said this:

...I was actually confusing that with Witches Abroad in my head. I actually liked Wyrd Sisters. Witches Abroad was the one I thought was weaker.

I liked the premise of Mort more than I liked the actual execution of it.

I honestly liked Moving Pictures, though in a lot of ways it's basically the same story as Soul Music, so someone who dislikes one probably dislikes both.

Since no one else has mentioned it yet, I should mention that I really, really liked Hogfather. I really liked the premise, and some of the dialogue from it.

Music with rocks in? We're on a mission from Glod? Imp Y Celyn? Death's granddaughter, Susan?

How could anyone not like it?

Because it's just a bunch of references, rather than actual satire. Also, like 90% of the plotlines have no payoff.
