That I'll get it - 10
The effect it'll have on me - 3
The effect it may have of those I interact with before I realize I get it - 10

I guess that averages/rounds up to an 8, but I voted 9 before really thinking this through.

I voted for the first 7.

I work at Target and we're staying open. Today was the first day the panic shopping has died down and I have a feeling next week it will be a ghost town. That said, I interact with hundreds of people everyday and it kinda fucking sucks that Target is putting their employees at risk during this. Hopefully it's actually been contained in my area but who the hell really knows at this point.

I voted for the actual 7

I'm mostly just worried about my Dad. He's in his 50's so he's not at as big of a risk as others. I'm also kinda worried about society in general, but there's really not much I can do to change that. I'm already as much of a homebody as I can be anyway and I work at a grocery store so everyone is super high risk regardless.

As far as myself goes I'll be fine. Like I said I stay home regardless, but if I get sick or it goes lockdown I get two weeks pay at least. So I'm not worried for my personal safety in the slightest

9/11 was way worse than this. Still dealing with that, in fact. Anyway, gotta make the most of the current situation. Mind the stock markets to your advantage and other discounted industries (flights, etc.).

Depends on how you look at it...

From my own health's perspective? 1 for sure. But it can disturb me in more ways than my health. Like, I study physics, currently doing an experimental project, which is at this point fully at hold and looking to push back my entire education, if the University is reopening in a couple of months, as they believe. I mean, we'll get around that, I'm not the only one either, but I believe everyone should be at least a bit worried for themselves too.

Ha, yeah it might just be. My day today basically consists of making up my mind about whether I will do a completely different project entirely to meet the original deadline, but it'd also mean I'd have to spend 1.5 times regular time studying for a while and do something that wasn't what I had wanted the most.

I'm glad I'm not among those doing their M.Sc right now...

Selfishly, I'm less concerned and more annoyed so far. Had to delay a trip to Central Asia and not being able to meet up with friends is already taking a toll on me. But I am worried for my mom, she is not at all a homebody and will very soon have the urge to go out and just do stuff. She's 70 and although in perfect health, you never know.
