I am Iron man is a joke from Iron man one that came out tehn year ago or w/e.
The joke is Ozzy has a song saying I am Iron Man, which has nothing to do with Marvel comics or Iron Man the comic character, but seem people think it does and they bought the rights to use it in the film.

So that is a 10 year or w/e commitment to a bit. That very line is a payoff typifying the whole MCU since the first Iron Man film which also was the start of the MCU plan.

The Star Wars one wasn't even thought out and definitely not planned. J. J. was probably taking a huge poop when he had a "great idea" in his head. What if we make them all the Sith! All the Jedi! Oh my goodness. All vs all! Holy lens flare!

The star wars one might have been good, but the characters weren't developed properly and neither was the situation.

Avengers was a bit silly, but was the final culmination of Tony's arc from the spoiled rich asshole, past the guy that thinks he can out think any problem, to the guy Cap said he wasn't: someone willing to make the self sacrifice. We felt it.

Lulwut?

It's a Sabbath song, not an Ozzy song.

And that whole post is just rambling shit.

That line was put in in post production. The original cut just had "I am inevitable", then Tony snapping.

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Black_Sabbath

Black Sabbath were an English rock band formed in Birmingham in 1968 by guitarist Tony Iommi, drummer Bill Ward, bassist Geezer Butler and vocalist Ozzy Osbourne.

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Iron_Man_(song)
Upon hearing the main guitar riff for the first time, vocalist Ozzy Osbourne remarked that it sounded "like a big iron bloke walking about".[2] The title became "Iron Man", with Geezer Butler writing the lyrics around the title. Osbourne sang behind a metal fan to get the sound effect in its first line, 'I am Iron Man!'.[3] Despite the title, the song has no connection to the Marvel Comics character of the same name,[4] although it was used in the end credits of the 2008 movie Iron Man, and the trailer for the 2010 sequel, Iron Man 2; the superhero also wears a Black Sabbath T-Shirt during the events of The Avengers. The song was also used in Monster Jam for the Iron Man truck's theme.

It's a Black Sabbath song. You're being obtuse for the sake of it.

Lemmy wrote "Mama I'm Coming Home", no one is ever gonna say it's a Motorhead song.

When I type Ozzy Song in goggle it brings up songs he sang as part of Black Sabbath.

Maybe you should steer this pedantic rage to google instead of me. Make a real difference.

I'm willing to bet that 95% of the population has never heard a Black Sabbath song without Ozzy's vocal influence in it, though.

That would be their loss. Dio > Ozzy, at least in Sabbath.

It wasn't a commitment at all, they didn't have it up their sleeve. The writers said they struggled to think of what his last line should be, and eventually somebody suggested "i am iron man" and everybody liked it. It wasn't pre-planned.

That corny shit works well in Endgame because it's all superhero shit, and even the best titles in the genre are a bit silly. The Star Wars line has to stack up against 40+ years of a beloved media franchise which some people take more seriously than the Bible. There's no way TRoS's line is gonna hold up within its franchise in the same way that Endgame's line is gonna hold up in its franchise.
