These folks did some digging and found some code that points to PC and Oculus support.

Not to sound entitled or anything, but I was expecting it to be released on PC because GTA V did so well on PC.

The original Red Dead Redemption didnt get a port to PC due to gameplay issues or something.

It will definitely have a PC release, only reason the first game didn't was because Rockstar San Diego had no experience developing PC games and made the game to essentially work only on PS3 hardware (which was similar enough to 360 to port it there as well). Since Rockstar Studios is making this one and the PS4/XBox One hardware is so similar to PC there is no reason not to port it over.

They will probably do it around the time online is released.

Right. I couldnt remember at hand what it was that prevented the move to PC. Thanks.

Im kind of hoping for the same level of shenanigans from the GTAV launch on pc and Online but also not. Hopefully, Rockstar took notes on what to and not to do.

I was never doubting an eventual release for the PC.

And, like with GTA V, I suspect it'll be tailored for better hardware.

What were the shenanigans?

What were the shenanigans?

Well, first off, the intro mission would just glitch out. The part when you arrive at the parking lot and it transitions to you choosing a car would sometimes work. The part when youre getting grouped with people to race against would sometimes work. The race would sometimes work. The post race walk to the car and get mission details would sometimes work. Etc.

People scripting around and dumping millions of dollars on you. Random session loss. Progress loss. Lost characters. Random mission failure. Mission rebalancing because some missions were easy to grind wins for money and that wasnt in Rockstars plan. Feature cuts. Etc.

Also, it took a long time for them to finally release Heists.
