I have no reason to doubt you in particular, however, I feel that most people tend to say that when they really mean "I could get it all done, if I completely exhaust myself." It's okay to not get it all done, you know? Try pushing yourself to get it all done sometime, I mean 100%, balls to the walls. It might work for you, but I know it burns a lot of folks out living that way. Appreciating that can go a long way and since this is 2018 internet, I'm not saying you don't already know this or think this way or 8 other varities of "I don't mean to assume for you" lol

It doesn't have to if you don't let it. Staying active goes a long way towards making sure you don't fall apart. I mean there are 50 year olds who can't get off the couch and 70 year olds who still swim and ski.

Absolutely! Life just continues to get better. 71, teach golf, compete in martial arts tournaments, teach fun recreational stuff in university adult education, take flying lessons, wrench on and drive sports cars.

Pretty much.... a year is all relative. When you're 7, a year is 1/7th of your total existence, so it seems insanely long.. when you're pushing 40? You blink, and it's fucking August already.

I liked my early childhood, hated my adolescent and teen years. My early 20's were a blurry rollercoaster, now i'm 26 and even though things are looking up, it's hard to keep a standard of morality anymore, and i'm watching a lot of people going downhill. I want to help them, but i'm one of those people who need help as well.

Especially since kids. Mine are 12 and 9, almost 13 and 10, and starting 7th and 5th grade. It just zips. Our parents always told us this, but never believed them.

Time definitely goes by faster the older you get.

As another poster said, time is relative. A 10 year old thinks one year is a long time because one year is literally 1/10 of his total life experiences. However, one year for a 40 year old is literally 1/40 of his total life experiences. 1/40 is a much smaller fraction than 1/10 so that is why the year seems so much shorter to the 40 year old.

My 20s flew by. My 30s went by even faster. I dread to think how fast my 40s will fly. I don't even want to think about my 50s and 60s...

I am 39, turning 40 next year. It's been 22 years since I graduated high school, and that is just crazy to think about. It certainly doesn't feel like its been 22 years at all. Then I think that in another 22 years I will be almost ready to retire... Where the hell does the time go....

idk if the days get longer, because they certainly seem to fly by half the time. When I was a kid, *everything* felt like it took forever.

I don't know about you, but when I was a young whippersnapper, Sundays in particular felt like an eternity. Now they're just like any other day. Over too soon.
