I don't have the statistics in front of me, but then neither do you so w/e, but I'm pretty sure the national rate is still decreasing, there are just a few large cities that are seeing an increase. Or maybe that's for violent crime in general and I'm getting them mixed up.

as poorer people become more desperate their lives begin to revolve more around the kinds of activities that get them killed. In rural/suburba areas this is mostly people killing themselves with opioids. In cities theres a lot more chances for people to all be hustling over the same illegal methods of making money pie. The wide availability of guns doesnt help. The police chief was around saying that so many of these disputes being solved with guns when a while back they would have been fist fights is a huge part of it. Point is bad wealth distribution leads to poor people dying not even just of starvation or lack of medical care but from lack of hope altogether. I suppose on this last point Trump threatening to take away peoplrs medical care probably does make them feel more desperate but i dont think that would have any effect at all if they werent already desperate. --- Board 8's Voice of Reason http://i.imgur.com/chXIw06.jpg ... The US has the worst income inequality of any advanced economy, and is comparable to places like Nigeria and Indonesia.
