That's possibly because he misspelled it "Caffein".

As a side-note, though, plenty of Straight Edge people don't count caffeine as a drug for the purposes of their lifestyle. CM Punk (who may arguably be one of the more "mainstream famous" Straight Edgers) actually has a Pepsi tattoo because he loves Pepsi so much.

Stricter Straight Edgers might count caffeine as a recreational drug and avoid it, but then again, some really hardcore straight edgers also avoid non-recreational drugs as well, along with meat, or even sex - so there really isn't a single ideology there as much as a cluster of related philosophies.

Some of them can also be assholes, who shit on people who don't agree with their lifestyle or say incredibly douchey and pretentious things like "IF YOU'RE NOT NOW YOU NEVER WERE!", while there are also people who follow the lifestyle who are embarrassed as fuck by the previous type.

I can't use cannabis. Nicotine isn't even the addictive substance in cigarettes, and in vapes it gives me a headache and anxiety.

Caffeine is weak. LSD and crack will turn your brain into a mess, along with getting you in trouble with the law.

Alcohol is the only drug I can get behind. It's not my fault it turns some people into destructive dolts.

How often are you asked to take a drug test RC.

I've worked at a government facility for 5+ years and they've only asked for a drug test when I was first hired.

I can see that being a reason though, you're right.

Paranoia. Unlike other trips, I can describe how terrible a bad weed trip can be. Imagine having a panic attack while everything moves at 5 fps, and you can only hear your own thoughts in zaps of 5 fps. Basically I feel like my brain is running on a 5 fps clock, and in between those zaps I feel like I'm literally dead being completely incapable of even thinking to myself.

Life death life death, yes, imagine flickering on and off like blasting your favorite music in your ears only every half second.

And I recorded video of myself, my entire body was entirely in sync, only moving in small immediate increments like I was a claymation. It wasn't just in my head.

On the bright side I'm a high functioning alcoholic. Everyone in my family is.

I don;t feel that caffeine is fair competition for that list. I really enjoyed LSD but you can't do it all the time. Booze is most convenient and weed is more fun but less useful with our current societal views/work conflicts.
