Even better if read in their cartoon voices.

I saw a handful of these comics a while back, and they are definitely worth a look.

This is a fantastic comic. Have been reading all of the Hanna-Barbara relaunches, recommend most of them.

I love how they update the "Modern" part of the "Modern Stone Age Family" thing to be relevant to today's standards, too.

I'm just imagining a social media era version of the Flintstones where you have birds flying from person to person carving out tweets onto stone tablets with their beaks. "Good thing the union limits us to 140 characters!"

I'd honestly be shocked if that's not a part of the comics.

Clicked on this topic and was legit kind of really surprised. This doesn't seem at all like the old Flintstones, but not in a bad way - it's actually kinda poignant on top of being funny.

Probably my favorite comic right now.

Recommended reading especially for it's criticism of materialism and religion.

Yeah, it's honestly kinda shocking. Usually these kinds of topics are made to mock a terrible piece of trash, not show everyone a cool new thing. I'm good with this change of pace though!

For those just discovering this, there are several other Hanna-Barbera comics that have launched in the last year or are coming out later this year

Future Quest which has Johnny Quest, Space Ghost, Herculoids, Birdman, and other action franchises mixed together. Wacky Raceland which puts the Wacky Races teams in a Mad Max setting. Scooby Doo Apocalypse where, you guessed it, the apocalypse happened and there's weird sci-fi stuff going on. A Snagglepuss comic where he's basically Tennessee Williams is coming out this year: http://www.cbr.com/dc-comics-first-look-snagglepuss-comic/

Jetsons and a few others are coming soon too

Future Quest is mostly typical comic book crossover garbage.

Wacky Raceland and Scooby Apocalypse are both really good though.

"...Described by Russell as “a gay Southern Gothic playwright,” the new take on Snagglepuss..."

and i was like where's the new take?

Considering Snagglepuss has chased the occasional skirt in the original cartoons, probably the "gay" part.

That being said, at a time when gay people were still forced to hide themselves from society, they latched onto every euphemistic representation they could find because they couldn't produce representation nor would any representation be granted onto them.
