GenesisSaga 02/03/12 6:53:00 PM #1:	[TRIPLE ripoff edition] [Sagapinions are the best opinions!] ^additional tags that couldn't fit in the title :D Need to wash the taste of badopini- er- Boscopinions out of my mouth, so what better way than with a list of my own? Starting with my least favorite type and leading up to my favorite type, I'll be revealing my top and bottom five pokémon one day at a time! First though, a few things to know about me: - I'm a little weird. My pokémon tastes will certainly reflect that. - Design is easily the hugest factor determining what pokémon I love (or hate). That's not to say gameplay and competitive edge don't matter, they just don't matter as much. - I may or may not have an ever-so-slight propensity toward the cute and fluffy (but not the pink and frilly, god no). - I've never played Gen4, and yet some Gen4 pokémon will be present. That's because I'm basing them on a combination of awesome design, anime appearances (yes, I watch it), and hearsay. - I freakin' love middle evos. You will probably never meet a person who appreciates middies more than me. I think most of them are the perfect combination of cute and cool-looking and Ixsatrssatfyotu[hfdfjdtlcg;v<333 ... I guess I could've fit this under weird. - My first generation was Gen2 (first game Crystal). You won't find much Gen1 nostalgia here! GenesisMana 02/03/12 6:53:00 PM #2:	Day 1: Fighting Type Fighting type... defensively, it's a mixed bag but offensively it's one of the most versatile and competitive types in the games. Apparently this means it contains a bunch of beefy, veiny uggos. Yes Fighting is my least favorite type, but there are a few standouts. Top 5 5. Croagunk I would probably not love Croagunk nearly as much if not for Brock's Croagunk in the anime. He's... weird. And just cool. 4. Mienshao It's a kung fu-fighting ermine. Seriously, how cool is that? It's on the list because I like how it plays. It can't really take hits at the level of most other Fighters so it emphasizes speed and elusiveness (hit and run tactics). Plus, it's a kung fu-fighting ermine. Oh, did I say that already? 3. Virizion Truth be told I like Virizion more than the top two pokémon on my list. So why's it lower? Well... I feel like it doesn't embody the spirit of the Fighting type as much as either of the next two. I look at it and I see a Grass type who can also fight. 2. Lucario From everything I've heard, Lucario is solid in his debut game, and I know for a fact he's solid in Gen5. Not to mention he's essentially the poster pokémon of the generation I've never touched. He's got his own movie; he's got several anime spots; he's got an appearance in Brawl (and he's always kicking my ass when my friend plays him). He's everywhere! And he's always looking cool. It's pretty hard not to like this guy. 1. Cobalion I know. Fighting isn't Cobalion's primary type either, but just look at him. He's stocky, and muscular. He looks like he's hard to knock over whereas Virizion looks willowy and fragile. There's a reason Cobalion is the Musketeers' leader! Honorable mention: Infernape He beats out Heracross for the HM because Hera hasn't found a place on my team for quite a while. GenesisSaga 02/03/12 6:53:00 PM #3:	Bottom 5 37. Primeape Let the tomatoes fly. Primeape is something I've never "got" the love for. It's a very angry pygmy marmoset... thing. It's learnset itsn't anything to write home about, and its stats aren't remarkable. Why do people like it again? The anime? My understanding is that it wasn't with Ash for very long. I guess I'll never understand... 38. Hitmontop My issue with Hitmontop is not one of appearance (indeed it's kind of cute). My issue with Top is that it's an outcast not at all related to its "family". We've got Lee, named after Bruce who was particularly skilled at kicking, and we've got Chan, named after Jackie famous for his handiwork. The next step should've been a poke named after someone great at both kicking and punching, or someone who uses a different style altogether, but no. Instead of a MMA Hitmon or something we get... a breakdancer. 39. Conkeldurr From a gameplay pesrpective, Conkeldurr is fantastic! Too bad they made him so grotesque that I can't stand the sight of his back, and therefore can't let him occupy a space on my team. 40. Tyrogue Worst. Baby. Ever. Why would someone even invent a pokémon so difficult to evolve into something useful? What satanic mastermind spawned this hideous imp that only had one stupid move in Gen2? 41. Gurdurr ... F you, you fing f*. You give middle evos a bad name. It's a wonder I don't spontaneously combust from just the sight of you. ahem Gurdurr is not only my least favorite Fighting type pokémon, it is my least favorite pokémon period. If I stare at it long enough, it makes me want to tear my eyeballs out from their sockets. It's that ugly to me. Dishonrable mention: Meditite It's a monkey in a diaper. Not to say that can't be cute (), but Meditite... isn't. Not to me at least.
