You do, in fact, need phones to function in modern society. What's confusing to me about this is that the average citizen exists in a system and must contend with it. Biden has authority and control nobody in this thread has; nobody is criticizing Biden for buying from Starbucks, they are criticizing him for selling weapons to Israel or running defense for them.

Given the complexity of phones, it's worth noting it's unlikely to really obtain anything truly "ethically" sourced. He could just apply the same arguments to child labor "You can't complain about that, you buy a phone" as though this kind of condescending sneering at people caring about injustice has been the blueprint to any successful strategy in human history.

I didn't say to not get a phone. I said don't support Intel by buying phones with parts in them. They're not even a big market share of phones because they literally just started expanding into the mobile market.

Yeah and you're probably going to end up purchasing or involving yourself with some entity that has its hands attached to deeply unethical behavior like supporting the IDF or child labor. Boycotts can be effective but the premise that you can't criticize the most powerful guy on planet earth for selling weapons to Israel because you bought an intel product is goofy.

Its crazy isn't it. They are upset about what's going on with Israel/Palestine so are willing to give power to a man who openly says he wants to make things worse over there AND at home in the US.

No, I agree that Biden should be criticized and I want him to change his policy. I don't agree about withholding your vote for him in November to teach the Democrats a lesson. I have Muslim heritage and it will be the first demographic Trump comes for and it terrifies me.
