According to sources acquainted with the details of the incident, the Operation Room in charge of securing the route identified an armed person on the truck and suspected this was a terrorist. By the time preparations were made for the attack, the truck arrived at the warehouse, together with the three WKC vehicles carrying seven volunteers... minutes later, the three vehicles left the warehouse, without the truck on which an armed person was allegedly sighted. The cars traveled on a route already confirmed to WKC by the IDF. The IDF was also made aware of the timing of this particular convoy. At some point, while convoy was traveling on the authorised route, the Operations Room ordered the drone operator to strike one of the vehicles. Some passengers were seen leaving the stricken vehicle and moving to the other two. They had time to alert superiors they had been attacked, but seconds later were struck by a second missile. They began moving wounded to 3rd car, and that's when the 3rd missile hit. All seven volunteers were killed."

Heck, it is 10 years ago since they used a battleship to kill children that played soccer on the beach... in front of Western journalists that had played with the same children minutes earlier!

Israel official response is they're sorry and this "happens in war." War crimes are also a thing that happen in war, kind of in the name.

Hopefully this will wake some liberals up as WCK is closely tied to a lot of popular liberal influencers/podcasters like Pod Save America. They should know that WCK of all groups cannot be credibly accused of being a Hamas front and that if Israel is deliberately attacking them....maybe people saying Israel is off the rails aren't just talking tankie nonsense.

Israel is definitely off the rails. However, people using this to discourage liberals from voting are absolutely tankies. This is an issue where pressure on a Democrat Congress is going to give us our best results. Trump steers his party but Biden very much reacts to his party.

This can all be stopped by telling the Israelis that unless they stop they never get another dime from the US.

To compare, the United Nations Assistance Mission in Rwanda lost a total of 27 personnel, most of them soldiers.

Were not even selling them really given that theyre using money the US tax payer gives them. The last spending bill included almost 15 billion in aid for them on top of the almost 4 billion in aid they receive every year.

Luckily I believe the 14 billion in cash aid hasn't actually gone through congress (the house specifically). At this point, really hope it doesn't.

The way its going I dont doubt the number is going to go up. If Ukraine aid ever gets passed its going to be piggybacking on it.

Edit: They already got 14.5 billion back in November, the stalled package is another 14.1 billion on top of that

I'm staunchly blue-no-matter-who, but what pressure exists on Congress other than, "We're not going to vote for you?" because I don't see any other levers for normal people to pull.

We don't have the money of lobbyists to sabotage campaign finance. And it's not like they're going to strip each other of committee assignments. And too many of them are in too small districts to have an "uncommitted" primary like Biden got, to send a message.

I've kind of given up because it's that or the end of democracy completely... but I'd love to know how we flex on them and hold them accountable outside of threatening them with our votes.

This is extremely morbid to say, but the first I heard of this was someone recording the bodies of the aid workers with their pass ports. The lady almost looks asleep.

Now looking at the vehicle they were in when they were killed, I'm surprised the bodies were in identifiable condition. WTF kind of weapon do they use? I'd expect everything in that car to be a mess of gore.

Incidents like yesterdays simply should not happen. Israel has also not done enough to protect civilians. The United States has repeatedly urged Israel to deconflict their military operations against Hamas with humanitarian operations, in order to avoid civilian casualties.

In the immediate moment, if your primary hasn't happened yet then hopefully one of your candidates is doing right on this issue.

Israel must be demilitarized. No ifs, ands or buts. It's the country scale equivalent to how you don't let a mentally unstable person with a history of violence own a gun, even if force is necessary to remove guns from their possession, even if they claim (validly or otherwise) to have a self-defense need for it.
