Did a lot cardio over the last 18 hours

Ran 2 miles at an easy pace. Quads sore but the actual effort of running isn't hard. Time to increase the distance.

Played 2K on the treadmill for an hour. Averaged about a 3 mile walk. Doing a tournament tomorrow (Still can't get Strava to track treadmill stuff properly)

Rode on zwift without a pacer tonight. Thanks to the cooler weather post-storm it was easier. 90% in Zone 2 which is great for weight loss. May ride outdoors depending on traffic and time. GF's birthday and nephew's baby shower this weekend.

On my end , weight still jumping around. But I said fuck it and had my cheat day anyway. Fries and fried Shrimp from Hooters. Today I am going to come back down to Earth with a Spanish Salad and some air fried (which just means fancy baked) so not really fried Turkey wings. So that about 700 Cals.

I pay $10 a month, and I feel more pressured to work out by going and have a lot more options. Plus, my wife and I can go together.

Obviously I know the benefits of a home gym but don't make assumptions

I got a gym membership for there pool so that can be worth it. But then there was covid outbreak at the gym.

From a cardio standpoint, yes.

If your heart rate doesn't enter zone 2, lifting heavy uses a different energy system (ATP?) than aerobic cardio workouts. Most lifting sessions get you pass that due to your warm-up and cardio, but if you just lift weights it's unlikely to do much in terms of cardio. The key is the time in between sets. On a day like today, I'd take more time between sets than I would if I was at the gym.

Lifting helps me sleep well so it's something I do early in my rest days to make sure I sleep more than I usually would.

As a home gym haver I must say it's amazing but nothing beats having the gym available. Exercises I'd do there that I haven't done at home...

-Pull-Ups
-Jump Rope
-Heavy Bag Boxing (I have one at home but nothing beats having an audience)
-Swimming
-Rear Delt Flys
-Mobility Circuits (I'm losing my mobility as a result and it sucks)
-Hang Cleans
-Shoulder Presses
-Walking Lunges
-Farmer's Walks

Yeah I probably need to take my fat ass to the gym. COVID is still a big issue in the South but there's a 24 hour gym I could go to on Tuesday and Wednesday nights.

Thanks for the lesson.

I have a gym membership, but there was a COVID outbreak, and I havent been back since. However, my home gym with Resistance Bands is working well. Right now, its in my office, and people suggest that I move it to the garage, but Im not sure about that. Oh, and I need to take a picture of my gym too. I might move it to the garage to take a photo next to the heavy bag just to make it look cool, then move it back up to the office.

I have Resistance Bands
, a door anchor for those bands,
a bench that can incline and decline.
I forgot this one of those workout balls but I have not used it.

and dumbbells. Im thinking of adding a $100 bike since I can put it on my credit card. I dont plan on buying a house or car anytime soon, so why do I need great credit?

^ right? I just saw the guy next to me doing light chest presses super fast, where he seems to just be jerking it. And then I am pushing to do 10 in a row with slow 5 second reps. One way is proven to build muscle much more than the other.

Really noticing how much broader my chest and shoulders are now vs my midsection. I have never had this look before. Really have that inverted triangle look with a tight t shirt. Even when young and my midsection was even smaller, I looked more like a cylinder lol

Looking very good. Working so hard the Christmas Tree is still up.

I was supposed to lift but ended up doing yard work on a beautiful day. I finished early and rode, then watched WrestleMania and completed a 3-game tournament in 2K while on the treadmill drinking wine. Slept until noon and woke up at 244. May be able to lift today. My nephew's baby shower

Yes, if I'm not mistaken, the guy was trying to help user totalnerdken avoid a rotator cuff injury or impingement, which is a great thing to be looking out for if your form is bad.

My work is so compartmentalized, we hardly interact out side of saying hello, and the meetings were one person speaks. I say hello to the person who is next to my office but that is about it. But honestly that is just me, I don't know how much any one else interact. Since everyone in the office calls me by the wrong name all the time.

Hey fellow weight loss warriors,

Ive been dealing with the effects of Prednisone, and its been quite a rollercoaster. But Im not giving up! Heres what went down during todays workout:

Dumbbell Incline Press: I started with 30 lbs or 60 depending on who is counting. So, I went for 3 sets of 8 reps. And just to spice things up, I added 2.5 lbs and squeezed out 8 more reps.Those 2.5 make differnce , don't underestimate them.
Cable Seated Rows: I pulled off 3 sets at 90 lbs. Solid effort!
Lying Triceps Extension: I might be doing these wrong, but hey, I pushed through 3 sets at 90 lbs anyway.
Cable Tricep Pull Down: Another 3 sets at 90 lbs. Triceps, youre in for a treat!
Cable Kneeling Crunch: Core work is essential! I tackled 3 sets at 90 lbs.
Curls: Managed 2 sets at 90 lbs, and Ill keep pushing for that third set next time.
Planks: Well, I half-assed them, but hey, its something!

Maybe everyone is hitting their goals. This weekend I will post healthy Pasta Sauce. I keep trying to do it but keep getting too bust to make since it takes effort. Also my Dinners have been pretty bad, today I just had a turkey wing.

I have put on around 20 depending on how you count. When I got really sick I got down to 185. But I don't know if that should really count since I was not in a good place. Then they gave me some medication for (something else) and I am back up at 200 pounds.

oh and I guess we are full of Baddies LOL, so that is good.
