Originally said money, but completely didnt think about what Trumble pointed out. I could make even more than that by investing the right way starting 20 years ago with the knowledge of what will take off.

That would also put me right before the time I got married, so I would go ahead and reverse that decision and go a different path there.

I voted money, but I feel like I could make more money going back 20 years. Btc, apple, tesla, and so on I could be a billionaire.

Sure, but I don't see myself getting lower than I was in adolescence. I wanted to die.

I have a better support network now.

As someone who is turning 48 in a month it would be tempting to have the 20 years of youth and have my body and health I had at 28. If it was like time travel where I kept my knowledge I would do it because I could make that money easily in investments.

If it just shaving 20 years off my body but staying how things are currently just give me the 20 million because I can retire right now and that would be better than just being younger but still working.

Years.

I would take 20 billion, though. That is absolutely "fuck you" money for the rest of my life.

I'm genuinely kurious how much less pain I'd be in if I dropped physical labour years ago and used wealth on building just the right lifestyle of kontrolled exercise/physio and ergonomic/supportive shit

It would all hinge on whether or not I go back 20 years with the knowledge I currently have.

I think I take the money regardless. Both of my kids have been born in the last 20 years, and I don't want to risk them being different if I got the re-do.

And $20 Million would set me and them up for a long time.

I don't have any kid or couple at the moment, so heck yeah I'd take the "time travel and become 20 years younger" option, provided my memory remains intact (which I think should be the case, otherwise you'd potentially just repeating the same life all over again). I'd be able to change many things that in retrospect, I should have picked a different option at that time.

And as others have said, if done properly, it's possible to get more than $20 million by going back in time.

Though, I'd much prefer if it's 25 years lol. Or at least 24 years, since, you know, we're in 2024.

I think most of the people choosing money might be forgetting that going back in time 20 years means de-aging 20 years. Like, money isn't as valuable as more life, is it? Especially since you could easily make bank by memorizing lottery numbers or investing in Bitcoin or something. Everyone posting here is probably in their 30s or 40s. Youth is valuable and so is living longer.

sure but i might not meet my wife and i certainly wouldn't be creating the exact cocktail that is my 11 month old son that i 10000% wouldn't want to erase from my life.

20M would let both me and my wife quit our jobs and just raise our son and life a chill life

sounds good to me

I changed my mind, I would rather take the money and give it to my family so they can be happier now. That way I can go off and die somewhere knowing they are set.

In the past knowing me I would just fuck everything up again only worse this time.

I wanted to say go back 20 years, for all the obvious reasons. But after thinking about it, I realize it's just way too dangerous. Anything I do differently can have a huge snowball effect and I could end up in a much worse situation than I'm in now. The 20 million is way more than what I could ever need, so I don't care about exploiting Bitcoin or anything like that. With the money, I can still retire right now and spend the rest of my life doing whatever I wanted. Trying to alter the past is just too risky. Not to mention, it'll be incredibly taxing mentally trying to fix things you think need to be fixed. You'll drive yourself crazy. And what about global catastrophes or other tragedies? Do you become a superhero and try to prevent them? Would you feel obligated to try?

Bottom line, going back creates too many variables and I'm not a risk taker. So I'll take the money because it's a safer bet.

The money is tempting, however I think I'd rather take the years.

There's a lot of lessons I know now I wish I would have known 20 years ago.

Also, I'd like to see what the future has in store for society & technology.

Yep, for anyone with a couple and kid (especially kid), it's much much better to pick the money.

The "go back 20 years" option is more preferable if you have no couple or kid.
