This is an extremely fascist mindset, and notice how no one applies it to anything else except guns because they know the implications. Youre essentially saying we should dispense with the idea of innocent until proven guilty and replace it with everyone can eventually break the law so just jail them ahead of time. People who think like that saw Minority Report and considered it a future to aspire to.

A group of young adults were in a car and they accidentally found themselves on a private road. So they were turning around when the owner came out with a gun and shot at the car. A woman passenger was hit and died. He was found guilty in January. He gets sentenced tomorrow.

My friends brother-in-law lived on Boston Road in Granville, and worked at the jail, and really took his work home with him, in a bad way. Completely convinced that someone could be in his shed at any time.

I'm not a fan of guns and it's my belief that the requirements to obtain one should be much stricter (and chickenshits like the guy discussed in this topic certain don't qualify).

It was hunting grounds for the Native Americans going back 12,000 years.

There was a similar case in Texas where the dude got sentenced to only 6 months when the maximum could've been 20 years. The victim was from Morocco.

And? Like, not trying to be a jerk I'm glad to hear that, but that doesn't mitigate stories like this, that dude who shot a woman in a Walmart parking lot over a damn fender bender or the guy who shot another guy next to his girlfriend while they were in a Starbucks drive-thru.

The U.S. gun culture brought about by NRA propaganda & lobbying trying to mitigate the harm guns bring society and treat them like tools/toys has led to an attitude among many irresponsible people where they view them as "problem solvers" for something nobody should be getting shot over.

I agree for stories such as in Missouri where that teen of African descent was shot through a door by an old white racist shithead for merely knocking on his door, however that's why I specifically avoided cases like that, because it's 2 different arguments per motivation.

There are definitely incidents of gun violence based off racism, this thread and what I and I think SiO were talking about isn't about that, however, it's about the overall gun culture in the U.S. that has led to this flippant attitude towards guns where many people think they're not the deadly machines designed to kill people that they are.

They view them as problem/argument solvers, which isn't inherently racist, however is an attitude racists will use in conjunction with their racism.
