Some of the testimony that was used to try and get murder off the hook, is really dumb. Among other things, he said he shot a warning shot to "Start a dialog"....cause you I always want to chat about a mistake after shots are fired...and his defense said, his rist was too injured to fire the second shot on purpose. Only after saying the second shot was the gun malfunctioning. This could have happened to me or one of my friends back in the day, easily, with today's mindset. There really is a Max security prison too far from where it happened, and people can escape. But a Warning shot would have been enough. It is effectively in the middle of nowhere. Like for real. I used to drive through it with cool 12-packs of beer that I got in Vermont, which was a weird feeling when someone told me that it was a dry town. I had no clue there was a dry town in NY this late into time. Sorry kinda wordy, but it really gets straight to you point in a very good way. Alcohol was banned for 86 years, and guns were okay in both towns right next to each other.
