Final Fantasy Tactics. I printed out the walkthrough for my buddy. My parents were pissed i almost killed their printer. I think he still has it at his parents place.

Probably Madden. NHL whatever year was what made me create an account.

Legends of Legaia. I don't exactly recall what for, though.

Tomb Raider 3 for the guides, FFVIII made me sign up for the boards.

Megaman Battle Network 3, I think. That or Pokemon Ruby & Sapphire trying to find out how to get to Mirage Island. I can't remember which I got first.

Morrowind. Until that point I just stayed over at gamespot reading reviews and what not, but when Morrowind was announced, I joined. Wanted to talk about that game in particular.

Tekken 3 and then a few years later in 2004 I made an account for Halo 2

I don't remember for sure, tho most likely FF7 or FF8. I knew about the site and was using it for the guides long before I had my first account.

Honestly, I want to say Final Fantasy VII, but it might be a false memory. Here's why I think so:

I was following links from the Yahoo! homepage toward anything Video Games. It eventually lead me to GameFAQs, but I distinctly remember a listing right next to it in that category that (for some reason) seemed to show most of a provocative hentai image of Tifa. So, on subsequent visits, I kept on following those Yahoo! listings to get to GameFAQs so I could incidentally get a glimpse of the image without actually going to the image.

I dont remember, but I was here for the grand opening.

One of the DBZ games for PS2 back in 2002, but I didn't join or frequent the site right away. Finally made my first account in 2003.

I was only just learning English at the time, and the games translation is... a bit wonky, so i didnt really know the rules, but i was somehow still able to get pretty far.

I was stuck on the word puzzle dungeon in the first scenario and a guide helped me find the answer. Then soon after I found my way to the boards

I remember signing up for the forums at a really strange time. This site used to tell you the time too when you signed up and it was like 4:57am. What the hell was I doing.

I am not sure actually. It might have been something like dynasty warriors 4 or something but I've always felt like I've used gamefaqs for plenty of single player games so I don't miss out on anything.

I am surprised a little I remember it was Shining Force 2 but the internet was different in the 90s. CJayC stepped down before the Xbox 360 came out right? He thought he was too old for gaming then.
