Sigh I agree with Chris. Mafia is supposed to be fun. I like both community's here and there yes FOL is laid back and has young players. Tbh I don't think I would have played another game after my 3rd game is it wasn't for Chris, Corrik, and I want to say Lopen actually being nice to me and helping me understand the game better.

How do communities die? Why do we take long breaks? Sometime people's emotions get to high and it become mean and not fun. We are playing a GAME! It's not hard to just have fun and not take it so seriously yes people are stupid and do stupid things in mafia it happens. Love, laugh, Learn.

People here gave BCT a hard time but like I love BCT I coached BCT up gave some pointers like those who give me them as well. Help people grow.

I see every side to the story but if you are this miserable playing then don't play it is Okay

On a side note have been having alot of fun writing my Simpsons redo mafia game

Yeah and I would say if you want a seriously competitive game just let me know and I will find the player list for you

For example fol runs 2-3 games at a time. I would say about 30% of the games are pretty competitive and the others are relaxed or fun gimmicky mafia variants.

Crescent being banned is a resounding endorsement for FoL.

Total package Chris is the best player here though I think he is not the best at any individual element of the game.

And honestly yes I wish the games were more chill here-- weird to hear me say but at this point Im probably one of the nicer players-- just a mirror who will fire back hard if people start with me (which gets me a rep since the meaner people are on the whole delicate for reasons I cant understand). I didn't just pop in to take shots at Crescent, just to say that yeah being nicer than here is probably good and Crescent would have been banned in any community with any sort of behavioral policing.

I feel like on a nicer community my raving theorycrafting would not be met with as much hostility which would be refreshing. I'm not sure I care enough about playing mafia to visit another community though, is more my problem.

VERY true btw. I self admit my reads are my biggest weakness and also tilting always fucked with me.

So now if I get mad at someone I automatically assume they are town

i have an setup (experimental) ready to go. the experiment is that it's like a dating show so instead of voting a player off each day, everyone must find a partner for the night and you will be neighbors with them for the whole night phase. anyone who cannot find someone to agree to spend the night with them is killed at the end of the day.

but it still has mafia-type roles and teams.

lmk if folks are interested and i can put signups up. it will be fairly discord-heavy for night phases (since you will be paired every night).
