Yep, Tifa is one of the few characters who has only lost to Noble Niners 1-on-1.

She could almost say it overall, but she did technically "lose" to Kratos because of Seph's presence in that match.

I don't think anyone can say they've only lost to Noble Niners in every format other than one-off 16 seeds or something.

Yeah Tifa's bracket placement just haven't been the most fun.

Almost no characters fit the 1v1 thing so probably not, especially since 4 ways and 3 ways has jokes and rallies dominating. No Noble Nine character only lost to Noble Nine characters either. Tifa is actually closer to this feat that every NNer except Samus who only has the Draven loss.

I think Zelda has had fortunate enough bracket placement and contest misses to have no 1v1 loss against outside forces. Then she ended up being strong enough that it would never happen even with contests. That's the only one I can think of. Bowser is a match against a Pokemon on HGSS release day away from it.

True I looked at things with more than a single 1v1 appearence.

In that case:
Captain Falcon's only 1-on-1 losses are to Crono, Cloud, and Sephiroth.

Ha, good catch, that's amusing. Wonder if there are others with that many appearences.

Oh I know there are some "treasures" upcoming, but the theme itself is just so unfitting on top of it just resulting in a blurry mess that vaguely resembles the characters it is portraying.

You know, of all the weird pictures we had late in this contest, I don't hate this one.

What bothers me about the pencil picture is that they look like colored pencils, but then the "sketches" are just standard pencil color.

I know it's to have the names that way but I would have names elsewhere probably and then have the pencils make up less of the picture.

save_us.rat, the one time we were all cheering for Pikachu

Honestly an extremely important result. L-Block probably makes the finals again without save_us.rat. Probably doesn't win outright, but you never know. Pikachu was the right character in the right place.

Cube didn't really threat to get further after defeating a leeched Mega Man. I doubt Zack does anything but fold the following round tbh, maybe he allows Samus to get through over Crono.

Nah, Zack being in the final just means he leeches off of Cloud and Snake takes second more easily.

Zack definitely folds harder to Cloud than Crono, while both served the same job of keeping Cloud behind Snake.

I have vivid memories of making this one, somehow I didn't know what a corkboard was called so I was googling things like "thing to put pins in"
