I downloaded snap chat for roughly 2 weeks a few years ago to talk to someone I met on a dating app after I got divorced.

Ended up not going anywhere and I deleted the app

This is interesting. I'm 32 and I don't really consider myself up on the times all that much but I definitely knew that snapchat has become a favored medium by younger people. Some even prefer it to texting in some cases.

Like I've become friends with a couple coworkers 10 years younger than me and our main mode of contact outside work is snapchat lol. Even my youngest brother (by 7 years) will mostly contact my other brother and I via snapchat a lot.

I used Snapchat a lot in high school a decade ago. It kind of died out for awhile but now I teach high school and it's the second most popular social media for my students, behind Tik Tok, so it made a comeback at some point.

I'm 32 now as well but this scenario happened to me years ago. After getting rid of facebook some people tried to get me into snapchat to no avail. Social media just ain't for me.

Never cared to use Snapchat but I have a basic idea of how it works, that's it. I don't understand the point of it or the need for it, however.

The only social media I actively use is Facebook because of groups. If it weren't for that, I wouldn't use any of it except to lurk.

32 and I use it because I have a group of friends that use it.

Honestly that goes for all the different social media out there, I have different groups of friends/family that only use certain ones so I have everything.

I'm 30 and used Snapchat extensively with an ex. Use it relatively often now.

It's just texting with using an image every text. Some people like to look at the person they're texting with.
