Easy vote for the forest here. It's always a joy to be able to listen to Southern Twilight ~ Dance on the Cape of Good Hope again. There's so many interesting details in Southern Twilight that aren't noticeable on a first listen. It feels like a simple song, but it's really quite complex. I can see why someone would consider Southern Twilight repetitive, but at the same time I don't. Dance on the Cape of Good Hope is a banger as always. Necessary Discrepancy might be able to compete if it were just the first minute of the song submitted. But it's not, so it's an absolute blowout. 46-:ri9 is still so good. Favorite track left in bracket A now that Mechonis Field is gone. I Can See Into Forever is a fun Evanescence song, but it doesn't match up with 46-:ri9. Today's the first instance of three of my noms/supports being present. And they're all in separate matches, making my votes super easy today. I definitely don't dislike it, but "Frums is good" has been one of my most positive takeaways from VGMC precisely for their unique style. The second match is also ... a little difficult. I would still be a little disappointed if Discrepancy won, but I do love it! Both Goo and ri9 are interesting in that the second halves completely blow the first out of the park.
