Wow, Videl seemingly broke the dude's neck and still can't win. Also there's a Supreme Kai now, huh. Can't wait for the next arc when we meet the Ultimate Kai!

Wheel of Time book 8 beated!

This felt like a breather book used to set up arcs for the future more than trying to do anything on its own. The last chapter being called "Beginnings" seems fitting with that in mind. At least this was the shortest book so far!

Alright. So in about 2 years, FFXIV whole main story will be available as a solo experience, except for 8-player boss battles (which are just 3 bosses per expansion). Yoshi-P specifically mentioned it's because they wanna address all the FF fans that say "I've played all FF games but XI and XIV don't count" lol

I have kinda mixed feelings on that. On the plus side it could help more people who otherwise just wouldn't give the game a chance experience it, and would likely enable them to eventually release a purely offline version for long term preservation of the game after the servers are taken down. On the other hand I really do think that a purely single player version of the game would be less fun, so it could be detrimental to the experiences of people who are anxious about playing with others but not to the extent that they would have not played at all.

If it gets Leon to play it though, that's another plus...!

This is us is a pretty good show. Got kinda annoyed with it by season 4 and dropped it though. Interested to see what you think of season 3! Maybe Ill pick it back up again

I finished Day 5 of TWEWY2. I like that they've made the Reaper's Game different than in the original so there are still mysteries to be solved, but man, the protagonists feel pretty dumb most of the time.

Except Minamimoto, of course, but he also seems strangely content to just let them be dumb and observe what happens!

Sounds like I will play FFXIV in 2 years.

How would that work? Main Story content only/no side quests? I only have WoW as a comparison point but I'm trying to imagine how you'd pull that off.

They already have the ability to run dungeons with AI teammates in newer expansions, they are just porting that ability to older content now.

Okay, so Armin is pretty intolerable with this delusional wishcasting onto Eren. Officially moving him off the list of characters I care about here. Mikasa handling this whole situation a lot better. Jean and Connie too. They can be the new trio. Based Pieck with the pro strats too bad that yet again Zeke is going to survive through pure BS because again this can't possibly be over 2 episodes in. Well, I guess Zeke might actually die because he only needs to make it like a minute longer but you know what I mean but Zeke is basically the (Plot) Armored Titan at this point so he might still live anyway. They're teasing Zeke getting that scream off and titanizing everyone who has the spinal fluid but... I don't think he will. You can't just kill my boy Falco after that confession. I mean, you could, that's normally all the death flags but it doesn't feel right? I don't think he dies... here, at least. Man, rooting for Gabi and Falco and crossing Armin off the good/okay character list what a journey it has been.

Attack on Titan Season 4.5 Episode 2 complete!

Yeah, I've got the opposite feeling about Falco here from xp and I hate it. He doesn't accidentally drink that tainted wine for no reason and he raised so many death flags here. His brother being stupid enough to believe Zeke wouldn't scream to save Falco basically sealed his fate.

The action here was super great though. Pieck has repeatedly proven herself to be a top tier strategist.

Also I get that Armin has basically become the Cassandra now and his insistence on believing in Eren seems unreasonable at this point, but I do believe he's right (because he usually is). Hopefully Mikasa dumps him either way though because she deserves better than Eren anyway!

Dragon Ball Z Episode 219 complete!

My wife has decided to rename this show Cinderella Z after learning about Bibidi, Babidi, and Buu, especially since Goku only has 24 hours before his "spell" wears off.

Finished Week 1 of TWEWY2, and we got a few surprises. First of all, we've got masked and suddenly blond Neku looking like Rindo. Hopefully we haven't gone full Kingdom Hearts where Rindo is Neku's Nobody or something...! Also Susukichi isn't the actual leader of the Ruinbringers, who has been gone for some time by the sound of it. I wonder how long their win streak is at this point.

AoT S4.2: Oh, I'm not contesting that Falco has ALL the death flags right now it's just it's TOO suspicious. Though I guess if the play is to continue to humble Gabi and make her life absolutely miserable it would be the thing to do and... damnit you're starting to convince me stop it.

As for Armin, the fact that I'm pretty sure the narrative WILL have him right is part of what annoys me here about it all. I feel like there's a middle ground there of "Eren isn't going to follow Zeke's plan but he's still sure as hell not the good guy here but I GUESS we migth as well bail him out because Marley wants to kill us all NOW (from their point of view at least. I'm not actually sure that's still true? The Commander guy seems on the level isn't he the one in charge after Eren killed like every other leader? Still, I can see why Paradis would not know or trust that) which is the more immediate problem. But like Eren's simps launched a coup and have/are about to kill all the cool characters so still screw him" here and Mikasa, Jean, and Connie seem to have found it just fine? Armin is damn near coming off like Floch and Yelena!

I feel like Armin is almost trying to convince himself it's true more than anyone else.

The Final Day has always been one of my favorite "final levels" in gaming, so it's cool to see it in a different form. Only one episode to go!

Overall, a decent anime adaptation. It doesn't rise to the levels of the original Persona 4 anime, but it certainly wasn't bad like the P4G or P5 animes.

Could definitely feel Minamimoto's absence here because fights just took longer, even if they weren't necessarily more difficult. Curious to see if the team is successfully able to recruit Neku or not.

That was a pretty solid representation of what addiction looks like. Almost hard to watch at times.

GAA2-3

Obviously for story purposes we couldnt let the trial end there, but its actually pretty messed up that Ryunosuke went against his clients interests and didnt take the not guilty when offered! (And I immediately checked: if you get a game over afterwards Harebrayne is still declared guilty...!)

GAA2-3 beated! Thoughts + speculation:

Very good case; probably the best in either game so far (with only GAA1-5 coming close). Drebber, Sithe, and Tuspells were all pretty great. As I expected the masked assistant was Kazuma, but I didnt see the Professor being Kazumas father coming! I had figured that Professor Mikotoba was somehow the cause of van Zieks animosity towards the Japanese. Im guessing though that Asogi Sr. will end up not actually being a murderer. My current two theories for the real murderer are either the psycho masked girl that showed up in Sithes lab (whose identity will presumably also end up being an important revelation) or Lord Stronghart, who I am almost positive is the games big bad. Im also guessing that Stonghart is the real Reaper.

G2-3 is so good, everything with Drebber is great

For non-saiyans they had a good run.

Piccolo feels like he was kind of starting to elevate into the wise sage role but they never quite let him get there

After Namek, any non-saiyan character matters very little in the grand scheme of things. Its definitely an issue with the series, and they never really do much to remedy it.

There is the part of Dragon Ball Super where Roshi becomes a top tier combatant and it's amazing. His focus episode was my favorite in that series.

I really don't want to see weak characters be suddenly strong for no reason either. There are ways you can use them despite power creep. I think the Android/Cell arc did a good job with Krillin/piccolo in this regard, even if it was small.

Possible DBZ spoilers (been a while since that has been put in tags!), I'm not sure

Was this the episode where they're turned to stone? IIRC Piccolo is still useful beyond that. I remember him as being the only non-Saiyan that keeps hanging with them to some extent.
