Nothing funnier than GOpers finding out their kid or some other relative is a member of the LBGTQ community because that goes against everything they stand for. His daughter also stated that she doesn't agree with his views.

Oh well I guess she's out of the will permanently.

She seems like a standard Instagram/Tick Tock thot, but I suppose if I were born into the public lime light it would be a hard temptation to ignore.

Has Ted Cruz ever expressed homophobia? And it's a pretty common thing for them to go "I dunno about them gays" then when someone comes out in their family they go "Oh he/she's cool, so I guess gay is too."

Well a quick google search brings up this.

Anderson Cooper called out Senator Ted Cruzs use of a homophobic slur in his recent criticism of the U.S. Armys new recruitment ads, while also questioning the appropriateness of a person who didnt serve criticizing those who did serve. In a tweet last week, Cruz quote tweeted a post criticizing the inclusion of a same-sex couple in an advertisement for the military. Cooper responded in kind.
Last Fridays Anderson Cooper 360, the anchor noted the video Cruz retweeted allegedly originated on a Far Right dark web site. He also called out the senator for suggesting future soldiers will be turned into pansies by the media and Democrat politicians.

I'm bi and also use gay as a slur, so idk enough here to determine if what he said even was homophobic. It does seem weird to be putting gay couples in to army advertising though, what with it having nothing to do with the job.

What does anyones family have to do with the job? Recruitment ads showing kids talking to their family about the military has been around for... a while. Why are making weird arguments?

I live in the UK, here they go "Fly around the world, see cool shit, play with big toys, go bang bang. It's cool, come join."

I supposed Americans like their veterans discounts and "muh country" shit so family ties in.

We got those too, but ads targeting peoples sense of belonging are pretty strong too. It doesn't hurt to diversify most of the time.

When I was in the service, recruitment ad in my country is only about when and where the nearest place for recruitment taking place. Never 'selling" about family, spouses (homo or hetero) and other stuff since job in military is very sought after for kids who's family couldn't afford the higher education tuition, and we got alot of that.
Recruitment process were normal. But when it come to special unit like my former unit, one of the final process was including a polygraph test. One of the question is about sex orientation. We never know what other people answer but when One of my buddy ask to our instructor why the question including "that", he said jokingly that he prefer his foxhole buddy watching his six, not his ass so the brass might have similar thought about special operations hence the question lol.
