Seriously, just read it. E-Mails ranging from 2011-2018. NFL obtained them during their investigation of the WFT (they were sent to Bruce Allen, the former president of the team) and it is a lot. About damn near every topic you can imagine.

Yeah, this is way bigger than the DeMaurice Smith E-Mail that was the subject of discussion the past two days. This is some heinous stuff. Anti-gay slurs, sexism, racism, being wrapped up in the whole "WFT taking topless photos of cheerleaders" thing, and much more over the course of all those years.

He's not only done in the league, he's probably done in NFL media tbqh.

I do find it funny that ESPN is currently acting aghast at what has come out during the halftime show.

There is a 0% chance someone like Gruden censored himself while there. They all knew what he was and employed him for a decade.

There is a 0% chance someone like Gruden censored himself while there. They all knew what he was and employed him for a decade.

I think the most interesting reaction retroactively becomes Tirico who also did the whole, "He was always a good person while we worked together" defense before Sunday Night Football last night because he was with Gruden on MNF those years and he's no longer at ESPN but still went that route.

yeah. I read the emails and it's nothing shocking. This is basically the "locker room talk" argument all over again. Men all over the country talk like this all the time, and it only becomes a big deal if you become famous and the media puts a hit on you.

Sorry I offended people by using "men" in general terms. I don't mean literally every single male speaks like this - I just mean it's pervasive. Maybe it's living in the south, but growing up I heard people talking like this and worse all the time at various jobs I held, from kitchen staff to working in law.

I think they should be fired for it, for the record! I'm glad times are changing.

Yeah that was something I immediately rolled my eyes at. He might not have said anything racially charged while talking with Tirico, but there is a zero percent chance he wasnt constantly spouting sexist, homophobic nonsense.

ESPN is complicit in empowering him so this whole not me dance feels extra disingenuous.

That was Greg Schiano. I think the backlash was because fans didn't think he was good enough to be our coach, but they used his connection to the Sandusky era at Penn State as cover to call for his firing even though it was basically demonstrated through the investigation that he had nothing to do with it and no knowledge of it.
