Solid Sonic 10/03/21 12:12:25 PM #5:	With regards to Neil Armstrong specifically, I can actually feel for him. He was a pilot before becoming an astronaut. Flew planes and made no real contributions to the knowledge community. Great at what he did, for sure, but certainly within a different scope to the alumni he was now standing among. I'd probably feel out of place too with a background like that. Yeah, honestly, if you really feel outclassed by the people around you then you're probably right. Usually it's the guy that is overconfident about his ability that is wrong. It can be a good motivator though. You don't think it's special because it's something you've been able to do relatively easily as part of your everyday life. From the perspective of an outside observer that lacks the talents, experience, or simple hard work that you've put into achieving those things, however, it's not something they could ever imagine themselves accomplishing. Basically, if you're actually good at doing something, you should have to actively remind yourself how special that is, since your talent will make it feel less remarkable than it is. --- This is my signature.
