I have a cheap Kenmore dishwasher that came with the house, and it still does a great job cleaning with minimal pre-rinsing. It's just noisy and takes a long time compared to premium models.

modern dishwashers are more environmentally friendly than handwashing I read that, and I know they have came a long way. But I seriously use only like 3-4 cups worth of water after each wash. Reminds me of this: I actually skimmed around that video out of curiosity, lol. I don't see that significant a difference from his test of "with prewash" and "without", though. Like, a little bit, but not significant enough to change anything. I do pre-wash some stuff, like the plate-spanning cheese on those plates in the video, but I leave smaller stuck-on traces behind and my dishwasher with its cursed pods gets them just fine. --- Join the club. Yeah when you think about it, if youre washing dishes in a full sink youre not truly getting much beyond the first couple dishes actually clean bc of all the contamination from each dishThat's true because we don't use 3-compartment sinks, but dishwashers sanitize by using high enough heat to kill off most bacteria.
