True, but it hits everyone different. Though, that being said, some people aren't really avoiding it. There are plenty that still go out for work, to the store, or even to see friends and family... Some even for fun...

I don't think I know anyone who worked an office job for 30 years and lived past 70.

I never said it was normal. Just giving a reason why it's possible he's been in bed. Also, it could be cold. That's why I haven't really left my bed as much for the past week...

It's because I started mudding again November 1st. I used to do beat saber 3 hours a day even though I was stuck inside all this time, and was keeping up with exercising. I've been stuck at home since late october of 2019 (because I got pnuemonia then).

Back in november though I started to mud again which is a text based mmo, so I basically play that every waking minute (literally log on when I wake up, and log off before I take my glasses off and go to sleep).

Your not allowed to play without being at your computer though, which means I can't use VR for beat saber without breaking the rules, so I have not exercised with it since November.

Also just because honestly I have given up at this point lol, I do want to start working out again soon, but there is still no ETA for me to get the vaccine (they say check back in 4 weeks). I'm actually gonna go into town (while going grocery shopping), next Thursday to get my passport so I can travel to Ireland once things open up again.

But for now, i'm just at home all the time, all alone, just playing an MMO so there is no real reason for me to get up or move around. It isn't very healthy, but I just can't seem to care at this point.

If I wanted to portray elitism, I'd be talking about things other than walking, essentially the most basic human function that you learn to do before even learning to talk

I dont think anybody ever sets out to come across elitist or portray elitism. Theres usually good intentions behind it but sometimes it comes off as preachy at best and condescending at worst.

I've recommended breathing exercises and the board rioted.

Walking is too much exercise for them.

No. He said breathing exercises. You took out a word to make him look foolish, but it makes you look foolish since he didnt say breathing was pseudoscience. And technically, he didnt even say breathing exercises were pseudoscience. He said most of you advice normally is. Which could be true... Are you always talking about chakras or whatever?

Anyway, breathing exercises can help. The reason nobody listened to you was because you were on your high horse acting like you were better than everyone when talking about it... Like you are when you talk about most things...

Only one in twenty adults engages in a modest half hour of continuous physical activity (which includes walking) every day. Most adults exercise less over an entire week than I do every day of that week (two thirds of adults don't get at least a half hour 3x per week).

Being overweight is primarily a result of dietary habits. You can maintain yourself at an above average weight while still getting routine exercise, and receiving benefits from that exercise. I certainly was a fat kid growing up, but that changed after I moved out on my own, had full control over my diet, and paid attention to what I bought/ate. Here we're talking about adults.

And after I did lose weight and get down to a lower body fat percentage, it was clear the problem wasn't fat, but actual breast tissue which unfortunately doesn't go away with weight loss. Some men have moobs that are purely due to fat accumulating, or maybe co-occur with tissue enlargement. Regardless, this isn't about being underweight, overweight, or anything like that. Just commenting about activity. I haven't (and won't) make any negative comments about people's appearance.

That happened to me at my job. I was going to say something once, but stopped myself. But since I started to say something, I still made a noise. After that, they use to make that noise to me all the time. They said it was a noise I always made, but I only made it once... It was kind of weird...

Exercise for the mind and body I do and still can thankfully:

  • Mindfulness - Sunny is onto something with this deep breathing stuff. It certainly can help clear mind mind. Binaural beats and guided meditation too.
  • Walks/Hikes - I'm limited where I can go right now but still fresh air with or without the above is great.
  • Video Games - Yes some of these are good for the mind

I've never been into fitness though, my diet is terrible and I enjoy a drink but something is probably better than nothing and more importantly I enjoy what I do.

Im just saying if your goal is to get people to listen then you should probably avoid the "im better than all you" approach. Doesn't really tend to work. If someone tries to attack your personal workout habits then you can give them a nice slap down of how l33t you are.
