Only one in twenty adults engages in a modest half hour of continuous physical activity (which includes walking) every day. Most adults exercise less over an entire week than I do every day of that week (two thirds of adults don't get at least a half hour 3x per week).

It's wild. Get up and walk, ppl

Going on a walk outside by yourself or with people from your household is fine. Particularly if you're keeping distance from others. No mask even necessary if you're not in close proximity to others! I live in a populous area and have no problem going on walks while keeping distance from others. Of course you can wear a mask if you want, some people enjoy it in the cold weather.

That implies I have space in my $625/month apartment with two people in it.
The footspace in front of my bed has enough space for one person to lay down and do pushups 'n stuff, there's nothing else.

I like to get out of the house if I'm going to exercise, fuck that

I did start taking short walks every day but the past week or so has been so cold it's not worth it. Hopefully soon I can get back to that and maybe a month or two more I'll be comfortable with riding my bike again.

Bro tell me about it. People are so freaking lazy and eat like crap and then whine that they are depressed and feel like garbage all the time.

I guess it's easier for some people to dig yourself in a rut and resent people who do work out than it is to do some squats though. But for me I honestly struggle more to force myself to do a rest day than it is to go lift

75% is diet. Don't eat McDonald's and drink soda all the time and you'll be much healthier. No exercise needed though recommended.

Diet and exercise are both beneficial but there are benefits of exercise that diet alone cannot accomplish.

you need to commit for 2 weeks to make a habit. that's why so many people fail. past that, it's easy to keep going. i hate the chronic pain excuses... i made them for years and i thought they were legit. one day i decided "i'm gonna be in pain either way, so i may as well look good and keep my heart healthy too." after like a month of agony, my pains almost totally went away. being in shape is remarkably good for chronic pain management.

Half a kilometer and back up the road is not "the dark side of the moon". It's not over the horizon. It's not atop a shining, distant hill.

You'd think when I tell people I'm walking to the gas station/bodega up the street and back that I'm planning an expedition to summit MT Everest.

This is true. They made towns and cities built for driving. Things should have been different, but it didn't happen that way. Like I heard that malls were really suppose to be these towns squares where they had everything you needed to live, and it would be close to where people lived. But somebody saw an opportunity to make money or something, and that's why we had the indoor malls that everyone knows about. Though, town squares are becoming more popular. We have one back home that's been around for like a couple decades, with apartments all around...

Friday through Monday, I'm usually standing/walking/moving for 10-12 hours.

Tuesday through Thursday, I lift from 200 to 500 lbs of bulk weight in the mornings while standing for another 8 hours.

Shoveling out 250lbs of wet grain (minus the sugar weight) is a great workout.
