I believe it is confirmed to be the entire series. Also it's not a real Netflix show, just a delaycast.

Is the series actually any good, or just nostalgic? I managed to not watch a single episode back when it was airing somehow.

I'm a little burned out on the "classic revival" after Yasahime kind of...petered out after the initial interest. The intital novelty could only take it so far.

not sure where Shaman King ranks on the classic revival rankings but it's below Sailor Moon and Card Captor Sakura for sure in terms of nostalgia

it was something I watched because it was on during Saturday morning cartoon block and not something I followed too closely

I didn't even know people were nostalgic for Shaman King honestly >_>

Hoshin Engi did the whole series too and that was shit.

Fruits Basket is the most successful recent one of these I think.

At the time it seemed like it was gonna be one of those famous bad anime, but it just petered away.

Isn't the Shaman King creator also redoing the Shaman King MANGA, though, or did I just imagine that?

Shaman King is actually one of the most ambitious shonens to come out of JUMP, but it kind of bites off a lot more than it can chew and the ending is kinda bad for it. But the ride is is pretty great!

as I figured they already announced that next week's Attack on Titan it'll just be an hour long special with episodes 73 and 74

according to viewers it was 17 minutes into the episode and then it got interrupted by news coverage of the quake

Watched episode 1 of Wonder Egg Priority.

It's interesting thematically, but I can't help but feel that this bizarre fantasy/mystery setting is the wrong way to explore those themes. But who knows maybe I'll be proven wrong later on.

I just finished Made in Abyss (the anime and the 3rd movie) not going to read the manga because the animations and OST (and some characters voice acting) are top notch and I want season 2 to be fresh for me

I literally watch people react to the Nami hat scene just to relive it again and again.

That's the scene where I was like "okay yeah I am all in."

And then it never stopped getting better.

A shounen has never made me cry yet I think

I cried (teared up) at a few points during my early one piece and naruto watches, but it was probably a product of my age and how new I was to the dramatic anime style of storytelling.

Now? fuggetaboutit

That's definitely the most noteable. I cry easily at media though so it happens pretty often, but that was the most from an anime.

The most I've ever cried in my life was some of the stuff in Episode 8 of Umineko, literally a half hour where I was unable to function because I was bawling, without any exaggeration.

the bigger news is that Stadia is still alive and is getting some Trails games

That s not a sign that it's alive, it just them pulling for table scraps.

Cold Steel is A+ but be realistic about the financial and marketing potential of those games. I'm sure it did not take much to sign that deal.

Promised Neverland S2 ended with a montage that covers the events of a season 3 that isn't going to happen. Also since last week's episode writers have been requesting/successfully having their names removed from the credits.

Boys we have an official legendary dumpster fire on our hands. They gonna be talking about this for a looooong time.

Unfortunately, Horimiya is also suffering a good bit under the weight of just how much source material it's cutting. It wasn't so bad early on but I'm starting to feel it. Not quite the same situation and still solid, but I hope this doesn't become a trend for Cloverworks. They were doing so well!

Persona 5 was their first anime. They know plenty about cutting way too much from the original series.

Yeah, but I had absolutely no expectation for P5 to begin with, and I figure it's just kind of par for the course. Considering what a horrific nightmare P4GA was, I barely even felt how lame P5A was.

...Though weren't people also complaining about how much was cut out of Bunnygirl Senpai? It was so excellent I didn't give it much thought, but...maybe this is just who they are, and this is just the first time it's really caught up to them?

I would say that's completely reasonable. Nothing about the Horimiya anime actually feels like something is missing for an anime only watcher. They certainly pulled off cutting out tons of it with far more grace than usual. The difference a clean professional cut and a butchering.

I think the show is still very good myself!
