Only on last gen consoles. It's pure murder for base consoles, it's horrible on the newer model of last gen consoles like PS4 pro. It's only worthwhile on PC and next gen consoles which people have trouble procuring.

Bad enough for Sony to be like UH UHNNN and take it down.

On PC, it is glitchy as shit (also experimented with the slow HDD option and saw new glitches after 40 hours of play, game doesn't disappoint).

Outside of the story missions it is terrible at feeling like a real world. It just feels like an awkward, glitchy but entertaining game.

Still really fun just not what I expected from an open world like this

However, i remember buying fallout 4 on console and it had bugs that were worse than cyberpunks. However, it wasnt totally unplayable so i feel their pain

It's been an awesome experience on PC, it's just the performance on last gen consoles being awful.

But the story and voice acting have been top notch, the combat is a lot of fun and getting better as I unlock more options, and I've never seen a city in a game feel more like a real city than Night City.

It's needs some basic things added (like a damn barber shop ffs, and better inventory management) and hopefully the out of combat AI is improved, but neither of those things are really that important if you're playing missions.

I'm playing on PC and loving it a lot, 30 hours in. Some minor bugs so far, no crashes, some brow-raising decisions I feel they'll fix for sure, but overall I love Night City, the main story, and how they've done side content and the world itself.

I'm playing on PC with everything axed out. While I've experienced some silly glitches here and there it was nothing anywhere close to what I've seen in the last gen consoles. I like the story, art design of the world and the combat is fun.

CDPR seems out of their depth in a modern open world game. You won't experience a tight, well constructed open world like GTAV or Red Dead 2. Honestly the game could have spent more time in the oven, the foundation is there and what's there is damn good but it was not ready to be released. And honestly, this game should have gotten the Crysis treatment and released on PC first, then had console ports to PS5 and the new XBOX only.

I'm playing on the PS5. Froze twice in 4 hours since the emergency patch, hasn't froze since. Still takes a few seconds to load certain textures in the city with all the lights and people around from a distance but it's perfectly playable.

Not really. There's been worse launch games than Cyberpunk. This just has a hell of a spotlight on it, way more upset customers, and CDPR's idiocy.

yea its pretty bad, not even just the technical issues like the frame rate but things like enemy AI or vehicle physics is unacceptable. feels like the game is still in development, wouldnt even say early access

On the PS4 and Xbox One, it seems so.

I've been playing on the PC myself (a fairly modest one at that), and while it certainly has its flaws (the AI, glitches - mostly minor cosmetic ones for me but not for everyone - and some aspects that perhaps don't match up to the promises made), I definitely wouldn't say it's bad. I see people shitting on basically every aspect of the game, acting like it's Superman 64, but a lot of it is exaggeration and jumping on the bandwagon honestly. Like those saying your choices make zero difference or that there's nothing to do or hardly any interiors.

There are definitely things to appreciate, like the story and dialogue, the world (not so much the NPCs and emergent gameplay, sadly), the graphics, the quests, optional backstory in the form of shards, emails, etc., the Deus Ex style level design (it doesn't quite approach it but it is almost as good as it gets for an open world game of this scale), and aspects of the combat.

It's just a shame it's marred by some pretty big flaws, especially on console, but it's not a total write-off.

the things people complain about are blown way out of proportion. Before this I was playing mass effect 2 and saints row 2 and this game is way more entertaining than those two combined

I played on the one x and there was still a lot wrong, enemies facing the wall or getting stuck into objects during fights, teleporting enemies, missions being bugged, weird bouncy car physics etc

It has bugs on the level of a Bethesda game on PC and it has performance issues that make it near unplayable on last gen consoles. The game itself is pretty good. I personally would give it a 7 out of 10. Nothing remarkable but fun.

They never should have released it in the state is for consoles, i really hope they lose a lot of money over this. Consumers need to start making a statement with their wallets but that's not going to happen any time soon.

It happens all the time with PC ports being broken upon arrival. Hell, I couldn't even play HZD for over 2 months after it got ported to PC due to game breaking bugs and constant crashing. You know how the community responded to it? They laughed at PC gaming and mocked it. The devs minimized and handwaved away our concerns for AGES.

I just submitted my refund request. I've only played about 3 hours since launch and while it seems decent (playing on a Pro), I just figured I'd might as well get my money back and wait for it to receive enough patches to become the great game it can be. Plus I'll get it cheaper then as well. Already seeing people selling it on the marketplace for 30% less than retail.

No it's not. Maybe on last gen consoles but I'm on PC and can't stop playing it. Already got 61 hours into it and planning my next playthrough. x.x

I saw my friend playing the Xbone version for over an hour, and my jaw-dropped over how bad it was. He kept saying "everyone's bitching about the framerate but it's still incredible", but it isn't.

The framerate consistently dipped into the teens - which is what Goldeneye was its worst. It looks nothing like any of the PC/modern console videos I've watched of it. It may have all the content across all versions, but the last gen ones shouldn't be this butchered.

@modena Patch notes are here, like the previous hotfix it's 90% scripting and glitches in specific missions (also I found it odd they fix t-posing in... specific missions, I'm curious how that works). A few HUD/UI tweaks, too.

I don't think you understand buyer's remorse at all.

I don't deny the game is glitchy as shit but that doesn't mean it's not fun. It's just not an immersive title like various other open world games.

Well, "good" is a pretty meaningless descriptor.

Yeah the people who say it's better than Red Dead Redemption 2 are probably delusional.

From a technical perspective it is a terrible game.

But from a gameplay perspective it's actually a pretty great game, just because there's a lot of variety to it and it keeps everything interesting.
