I live in NYC and have family in NJ. Thats a HUGE maybe considering how trump does as he pleases with no repercussions. I dont blame the author at all. Nowhere do I excuse Trumps behavior. He is the worst possible person to have in charge during this pandemic. If Hillary had won in 2016 wed be in a much better position right now because she certainly wouldnt handle this like Trump did.

Theyre both wrong in this situation anyways. Its clear Woodward was sitting on this for a book, and its clear Trump doesnt give a fuck about the virus and wants to pretend it doesnt exist. At the very least proof that Trump is intentionally downplaying the virus couldve opened the eyes of people willfully ignoring how dangerous this thing is.

I think people get too far in echo chambers and lose track of how other people might look at the world. My father will just talk about how Trump made the greatest trade deal ever with China, and how we had the lowest unemployment in history because Trump made so many jobs. He'll talk about how Trump made sure everybody got masks and ventilators because he gets things done. He won't care what Trump said to the public. My sister likes Trump because he's not PC, and she sees the left as attacking white people. She'll think it was smart of Trump to not panic everybody. My mom is left more than right, and despises Trump, but is terrified of the far-left because she believes they want to defund the police and she is so far against that she is willing to vote for Biden and then all Republicans to make sure that nothing gets done until we can get a 'good candidate' who isn't a socialist or who wants to defund the police. She believes Biden will give in to the "far left".

I hope Biden will win, but I don't think this will swing anything, and I do wish the left would stop supporting rioting and looting because its losing central people from the cause even if I agree that what we really need is police reform.

All we have here though is Trump admitting to something we already knew. The people who are bothered by it are already bothered by it and the people who aren't don't care.
