I feel like his base that will likely never leave him is around 35-40%.

I had a woman come into my store once, without a mask. When told she needs one, she said she didn't believe in it(masks/coronavirus), but put one on. It was a Trump 2020 mask.

So, these people are absolutely okay with his piss poor pandemic response aparently, because they think the universe cares about their feelings or what they believe in.

Which is one reason why I changed the sign board in my liquor store to say "Our health over your feelings". You cannot possibly claim my statement is misdirected or wrong.

Nah his die hard base of "Strongly support" has never gotten above 34% to my memory.

Even better. I suspect his 34% are from people who like people who "talk tough" no matter the results.

A certain segment of the population is mesmerized by how he talks. They don't care if his talk is just that, they want to hear him call terrorists terrorists, coronavirus the china flu, people like Don Lemon dumb, etc etc. They like a person who can talk tough, and they don't care if its surface level tough talk with no meaningful action aside from colorful language, all tehy care about is that he calls somebody they dislike a "son of a bitch"

That is so damn embarrassing

That is really astonishing because I cannot STAND listening to him. He is one of the absolute worst orators I have ever heard. It's like listening to a living Markov chain.

He says everything he thinks with 1000% confidence despite its falseness.

He's a bad liar in the sense that nothing he says is believable if you're willing to look into alternative sources, but an amazing liar in the sense that he doesn't hesitate at all or change his demeanor when lying. If you compare how he answers questions compared to say, how Jared Kushner or Sean Spicer answered similar questions its night and day, because many of his lackeys can't bullshit comfortably.
