Due to how open the game is compared to BTN and having infinite time no matter what nothing is missable forever iirc.

When it comes to something like a farming type game? Most likely yeah. I've never really played another game that was mostly focused on running a farm.

Theres one event with Cliff in Fall of your first year, and if you dont do it, he leaves and never comes back. But Im pretty sure this is the only thing you can actually miss.

At least that was the case in the original FomT, Im assuming its the same here.

I kinda remember that. You just had to keep his happiness up and he stays, right?

I dont think you even need to stay friends with him. The new one might be different but One of the people who run the winery come to you looking for some help with their big harvest and if you tell Cliff he gets a job there and stays around forever, and if not he runs out of money and leaves town.

The stuff with Cliff is the exact same in this game. They even straight up tell you "Hey you should ask that guy who's always at the church!" If Cliff leaves, I imagine it's intentional and the player just hates him a LOT lol

But yeah I can in terms of things to do and customization, it isn't Stardew. Though I hate the characters in Stardew, with the ones in this being way better imo. It also doesn't hold a candle to something like Trio of Towns (which is my favorite of this genre, period) but that doesn't stop me from loving this a lot.

It's fun but man these animations where your characters gets tired get old REALLY quick when you're taking trips to the mine a lot >_>

My copy just came in the mail. The outside cover is reversible and the reversible side is like the original FoMT artwork! AND IT HAS AN INSTRUCTION MANUAL. There was also a little pink cow that I guess was a pre-order bonus? idk I'm not complaining.

haven't even started the game yet, but I'm fairly happy so far.

For Story of Seasons they look cute but seem so generic. Id prefer generic over butt ugly tho

The 6th tool is the Cheap Fishing Rod, which you will receive from Zack when you visit his house on Mineral Beach. If when you visit he doesn't give you the pole, make sure you have an empty slot in the Tools section of your rucksack. Tools can be stored in the Tool Box on your farm when you don't want to carry them around.

Yeah, Stardew Valley has fun gameplay but the characters look terrible. I like the old HM characters, they were way more expressive. They just look kinda generic in this remake

haven't even started the game yet, but I'm fairly happy so far.

Pretty excited for this part. I may not get the game today, because they haven't even shipped it yet, and my local shop is having a lag with deliveries. It's okay - I'm not completely done with Xenoblade Chronicles yet. I'm still at the end of the game, and I have a few more quests to wrap up.

Kind of sad that we are excited over a manual but I always used to like reading character bios and such in them and the GTA ones being made to read and look like a tourist guide were really cool, Star Trek Bridge commanders was made to be a huge star ship operations manual.

So, I gave in and bought a digital copy from the eshop because my copy from Amazon won't get here until the 28th. Once that comes in, I might keep it (assuming they don't screw me over on the cow plush).

Anyway I found 3 missables so far:

-Cliff leaving if you dont help him with the Winery

-Huang won't sell you the vase if you reject it too many times

-You can not marry the Harvest Goddess nor the Kappa if you don't choose their names when you give the Goddess 20 gifts. This also means that you can only have the opportunity to either marry the Goddess or Kappa on 1 file; you can't have the opportunity open for both of them on the same file.

I kind of do, too lol. I've been playing the FOMT remake *hard* and it feels like I'm already close to running out of things to do? I'm not the type that can keep playing for the sake of playing without any goals, but my only (reasonable) goals left are the cursed/mythical tools and the expensive villa. The heart/breeding system for livestock continues to rub me the wrong way, and while the game is goddamn fantastic for being such a faithful remake, that also comes with the less content thing.

I don't know, maybe it's just me. I probably should have taken this game slower, too lol. I was just so excited and went overboard. Which leaves me with kind of wanting to check out Animal Parade or replay ToT later on in the year, which like you said, seems silly.

I am typically a physical copy kind of gamer except for very rare instances (FF9 on Switch) but I need to play this game. Just bought it and it'll take about five minutes to download so I'll get my snack and start playing. Been a very long time since I played a Harvest Moon game. Think it was Animal Parade on the Nintendo Wii. Hope it's as good as I remember.
