https://www.indy100.com/article/kanye-west-democrat-black-voters-president-run-2020-racism-white-supremacy-9607586

Kicking off his campaign, he gave an interview to Forbes about what hes planning to stand for in the upcoming election. Over the course of the interview, he touched on various topics in typical Kanye style. Among the revelations were that hes never voted in his life, that he had coronavirus in February and that he thinks Planned Parenthood was put in cities by white supremacists to do the devils work... Another headline-grabbing moment in the interview came when West was asked about the possibility of him taking votes from Democratic candidate Joe Biden and therefore enabling another Trump victory. West responded by suggesting that assuming black people are Democrats is racist. Im not denying it, I just told you. To say that the Black vote is Democratic is a form of racism and white supremacy. This isnt the first time that West has made strong comments on race issues. He infamously suggested that slavery was a choice and endorsed Black conservative Candace Owenss Blexit campaign, which aims to encourage African-Americans to leave the Democratic party. He later disassociated himself from the campaign.

How about we just get a candidate that genuinely has our best interests in mind?

tbh it was a really inappropriate remark that Biden made - you don't get to dictate someone's racial identity based on how they vote, that's pretty fucked up.

I think Kanye is a moron, I'm really hoping Biden wins, but honestly I agree with him. The Democratic party should be earning every single vote, and its fucked up to assume someone has to vote a certain way because of their skin color. I want whoever's the president in 2021 to be the person duly elected by the people now matter how the chips fall.

his "abolish the 13th" slogan has more to do with addressing the deliberate loophole that permits the involuntary servitude of prisoners, if you look past the hit pieces and actually listen to what he had to say

seen many a prisoner bused to the city to landscape in lieu of actually hiring people, and working former slave plantations where they were imprisoned during my years in louisiana - draconian drug laws in the south to keep the involuntary labor supply coming

there are things to criticize kanye for but his criticisms of the 13th amendment are not one of them

He's also a fucking idiot. Black people may not want to vote democrat, but their alternative is a party that barely considers them human beings. It's the same with LGBTQ people. If I had to choose to vote for the people who don't care about me beyond getting my vote and thus throw me a bone once in awhile or people who think I'm less of a person because of the color of my skin or who I fuck and are actively trying to take my rights away, I think my choice is pretry clear. It's a shitty choice to be sure, but I know which I would pick.

Nobody should be required to vote for anyone to be something. Be it black, part of the LGBTQ+ community or whatever.

But if you vote for someone who openly disdains you and promotes laws to make you suffer. What the fuck are you doing?

Vote Republican if you want, but you are voting for a party who doesn't want your vote and will actively do all they can so you can't vote. They will do nothing to stop the continued oppression various minority groups suffer and will promote the ideology that you are lesser than others.

To be fair, the Republican party was the party that was anti-slavery and formed by blacks. The first black congressmen in the U.S. were Republican. The Civil Rights Act of 1964 was passed because Republicans managed to get just enough votes to oppose the Senate filibuster.

The Republican party has always had the best interest of blacks at heart and still does. There's tons of online videos and vlogs of people of all races (black, white, hispanic, etc) explaining why they switched from Democrat to Republican. They're not racist or being brainwashed with white supremacy and right-wing propaganda, they are open minded and educated enough to think for themselves, sift through history, and question the narrative that we should vote a certain way because "everyone else says so".

A free-thinking individual is one of the greatest adversaries of a strong and corrupt government.

What something was in the past has nothing to do with what they are now. You have to be blind and deaf if you think Trump and his cronies that want to keep him in power are not racist and it is a horrible idea to vote Republican right now if you are not white.

I agree with him, to say that the black vote is democratic is racist, so I invite republicans to stop being racist.

Black people have the right to vote for whoever they want, so if a black person chooses to be a Democrat or vote Democrat then thats their right. Thats not the person being used, thats the person exercising their civil rights.

To say that they are victims who dont know any better and are being used is racist.

No I criticism him for his statement on the 13th Amendment because everything you are saying are excuses made AFTER said he ABOLISH the 13th Amendment.

And that was on the heels of his "slavery was a choice" comment.

At best he is a idiot who doesn't know how to properly communicate his thoughts, at worst he's an attention whore who intentionally says inflammatory stuff, knowing he can always says after the fact "I know I said X but what I really meant was Y"

Either case is the mind of a person I don't think has validity when he tells other black people how they should feel about political parties.

Prisons need massive reform, and the only thing the Democrats have going for them is they are objectively better than the Republicans, but Kanye has said stuff that even people in the Klan would go "whoa, that's pretty extreme"

I think the idea is that if more blacks supported Republicans the republican candidates would actually help them out too. I sort of agree, a lot of these folks that dislike black people need to hear more black voices, at least ones that sound like them(think candace Owen's) at first. Kanye is a brave man for doing what he's doing and deserves respect. But yeah, elections must be tough on black folks, while half of America has the luxury of whining about trump, when Obama was president I think every black folk in America was so proud, it's a shame the republican party has to appeal to racists, a lot of black folk are conservatives themselves, work their butts off, don't want hand outs and believe in justice.

And that was on the heels of his "slavery was a choice" comment.

searching for better context, he acknowledged - in the same interview, almost the same breath - that the coercion factor in slavery, but his core thesis was about mental bondage as a form of slavery, particularly in "400 years of slavery"

if you'll keep in mind the anglo-american institution of slavery lasted around 260 years

so you are absolutely correct on both points:

he is a idiot who doesn't know how to properly communicate his thoughts

he's an attention whore who intentionally says inflammatory stuff

but absolutely not a slavery apologist

he has no business in politics but if he's already getting people convicted of victimless crimes out of prison i'm not going to complain

i agree

but to play the devil's advocate, democrat candidates feel entitled to our vote and seldom actually deliver anything of substance aside from crumbs, platitudes, and fearmongering about how the other party is so much worse

if voting is to be results-oriented, neither party has done much of anything to be worthy of our vote

alternative voting needs to happen to keep the big two accountable

The democratic party has it's flaws and many times I don't believe their representatives are genuine in their concern for minority groups and LGBT members. To point out those flaws and pretend that the Republican party is any better is insulting. It's pretty telling when you have multiple white supremacist groups, anti gay and trans policies and multiple examples of discrimination against women and minorities, yet there is more effort into trying to hide those things and bring up the opposing parties bs. If Republicans want more black support, why be so hesitant to address your relationship with these groups? Why continue to bring up the cities of Chicago and Detroit while the entire states of Arkansas and Mississippi have embarrassing stats on health and education?

A lot of people believe this or implants.

But the imagery in Revelation and the customs if the time are really quite clear that it's not so physical.

https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Revelation+13%3A16-18&version=NIV

The "number of its name" would be a dead giveaway for the people of the time, who regularly referred to politicians and other important people by... well... the number of their name. You could "add up" the letters in a name to get a number. And if you do this with Nero's name, you get none other than DCLXVI, or 666.

The "right hand or forehead" is also definitely an allusion to Deuteronomy 6:

https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Deuteronomy+6%3A4-8&version=NIV

The mark of the beast is definitely about human laws attempting to replace God's laws.
