Why do they do that? Two things I wish every gacha would do: Infinite reroll from the start like SINoALICE (or even a lot like Epic 7 and Battle Divas had 30 I think) and a permanent gem card like Tales of Erin

IDK I only did one roll because a tutorial quest said I had to roll and it gave me a 2* dragon girl of some kind who isn't bad but I'm just playing the starter Knight and I've been at it for hours the game is so much fun I don't really even see the need to roll.

There's also a few free characters you can pick up along the way. Some are hidden pretty well and you really have to turn over every stone to find them.

Alright I tried Guardian Tales and it is definitely as good as Tyran says. I definitely didn't expect an actual game lol

I have some misgivings because it's a Korean game I think? Kakaogames is definitely Korean. But as expected, high production value but I'm approaching it with caution. If it ends up consuming me, I might have to drop Sinoalice but I guess I'll see

Pre-reg for Nutaku MGCM is up. And it looks exactly like ours did a year ago.

Only mentioning it because apparently Arachne Iroha, who still remains one of the most broken/useful dresses in the game, is gated at 80k registrations... and it's not halfway there yet.

For the UR dress pool in the pre-reg, Kokoa is the best of those four. I think Seira is supposed to be good too. The other two are meh, though I might prioritize Iroha over Kaori.

So Im watching FG3000s review of Guardian Tales, and right off the bat hes saying this is a must have game. I usually take reviews with a grain of salt, but FG generally has taste that aligns with mine, so I might give it a try. Ill probably drop Crestoria since its so grindy and buggy.

there's the Nian banner. I already decided I was only spending 10 rolls at most, and got Spectre at 10, who could be useful I guess. Only two 4* too which is terrible luck, but at least one of them was a Myrtle dupe.

I guess this is another one of those events where you just grind the same missions as normal and get extra stuff for doing so...eh. Was thinking there'd be new content.

Oh yeah, is there some way to hook a controller up to an iPhone? I dropped Dragalia Lost because it was hard to play on the tiny 5S. Now I have an 8 which is slightly bigger, but Im afraid it might still cause problems

You can't for Dragalia Lost but the newer models of XB1 controllers connect over Bluetooth and they are compatible natively with Guardian Tales.

For devices that support wired USB connectivity, most games, Guardian Tales included, do not work that way. Bluetooth or bust.

All the SRs will be given to you in the story, but if you're unlucky enough to only get those, Akisa's is far and away the best one.

As much as I hated on the kinds of adult content, I still really liked the music and art design. I encourage anyone to pre-register and give at the least the general audience version (Nutaku.com instead or .net) a try.

I can definitely say Guardian Tales is worth trying out, but I still don't know what the latter parts of the game look like. The gacha rates are low, but from what I can see, most characters feel pretty powerful enough already

I'm on chapter 3 now. Like Dragalia Lost it becomes more important to field a balanced elemental composition than having that one awesome unit. Also I found that while the rates are bad the game launched with it's own version of sparking you can find inside the shop. That dramatically offsets the bad rates IMO.

Guardian Tales allows guest logins but I really want to stress here you're looking at like around 30 minutes per reroll with only a 2% chance at a 3* character that you probably won't even use in half the maps.

From what I'm reading about Guardian Tales, it's being highly praised for the story content and raw gameplay, but people are saying that any content beyond that (including the PvP, which I'm seeing a lot of people say is really pay-to-win) isn't worth it.

I might give it a chance if I end up dropping Tales Of Crestoria, which I'm still not 100% sold on yet.

Popukar? She's been out for a couple months (and is sadly also kind of crappy by design; AoE Guards need E2 in order to hit 3 enemies at a time, but three-star units can't be upgraded to E2)

damn, grats. I completely missed the bit on the event screen that you could select to jump to the missions, whoops. Guess I'll work on those tomorrow (just as well honestly, today was busy with gbf stuff).

and yeah, Summer Ferry does look a tiny bit smaller overall than her Grand version, which I don't mind too much honestly. And Pholia is basically Ferry and Anila fused into one top-tier waifu so I guess it'd be unlikely for her to show up after both of them.

I'm honestly going to be mildly salty no matter which way they go with Summer Anila. If she's a new character I'm going to be salted because Zodiacs are super-exclusive characters that you basically have to spark, if it's a skin I'm going to be salted because she's been badly needing a rebalance for awhile now and selling a skin without giving it to her is a lame move.

For Guardian Tales, I rolled a 3* Red Riding Hood girl that shoots dark laser beams. She's pretty great and definitely stronger than my 2* pirate girl, but from using them both, the difference in playstyle is non-existent and it's all in the stat and elemental advantages. So I'm guessing just using the game's free characters won't hamper you much

I've decided: I'm sticking with Tales Of Crestoria at least until they add best girl Colette to the game as a playable character (whenever that is) and whether I pull her from her banner or not will decide whether I continue with it after that. On a related note, I got a guaranteed SSR ticket today from the challenge missions and it gave me Rita, so now I have 5 SSR characters (Kohaku, Milla, Sorey, Asbel, and now Rita) in total.

If she's a new character I'm going to be salted because Zodiacs are super-exclusive characters that you basically have to spark, if it's a skin I'm going to be salted because she's been badly needing a rebalance for awhile now and selling a skin without giving it to her is a lame move.

Yeah, I guess they could go with the tried-and-true SR unit route but given it's a summer skin it'd either be a skin or a new SSR unit

Or it'll be delayed until CyGames forgets about it and replaces it with an alternate seasonal rip summer scathacha

Welp, last day for Symphogear XDU global. Wish I could say it was fun, but it's pretty clear that Pokelabo deliberately killed it so they could focus on SinoAlice instead. The event schedule was a complete mess with how rushed it was and they already had the level 70 whaling set up even though it wasn't present in the JP launch, they just wanted to make a quick buck and realized after like 2 months it wasn't going to make enough money.

I don't actually mind Summer Scathacha not being an actual unit too much since she has one of the weaker swimsuit designs. And I guess she did get another alt recently even if it was a little too weak to spark for.
