This is true, but TC intentionally misrepresented what he said to rile up the brainless TDS crowd. Trump is getting reelected whether he says more dumb stuff or not, people forget how loyal his base is, it also doesn't help that the dems brought out another senile racist that can't keep is mouth shut

Diving a bit deeper, Biden won because he had crushingly overwhelming support from black voters. And they make up a large enough portion of the Democrat voter base that if they go 80%+ for one guy, it's pretty much impossible to beat him.
It's a shame that the last several primaries, they've voted as a monolithic entity, because it pretty much kills the democratic process by letting the eventual winner pander to one specific group (really not much different from how Trump relies heavily on super massive majorities of evangelicals and "poorly educated" (his words) white people to let him safely ignore the rest of his party's voters and the majority of the country's population overall).
The primary system is fucking broken. It's not built to pick someone with appeal to a large swath of people. Hell, they outright shut out independents from voting in them in a lot of states. We've reached a point where pretty much every presidential election, our choices are going to be between whoever a very specific racial or special interest group in each party decides to nominate.

Older black voters are more conservative-leaning than young black voters. In general, older registered voters are more likely to actually vote compared to young registered voters. Also, being the VP to the first black president resonates for people; they'll connect Biden back to Obama's leadership.

It really had nothing to do w/ policies. Bernie's policies should have appealed to them, and he has a LONG history of supporting racial equality.

I don't know why, but the reason I heard people mention in the news was that (older) black voters care the most about picking someone they already know really well and are sure they can trust. Bernie despite his long tenure was pretty unknown until the 2016 election to most of the country. Biden was Obama's VP. So...yeah. If that is their reasoning for who they vote for...then it sure does wonders for the issue of old establishment politicians keeping the younger more progressive ones from rising up in general, too. :(

Of course, the numbers will tighten the closer to the Election we get, and the voting populace has the energy of good fish, but this is Biden's to lose by far.

The election is basically in the bag for him and it'd be a huge upset for Biden to win. For the record, models have already been ran on a "what if the same underestimation of 2016 with the current polls", and Trump still loses handedly. Of course, voters shouldn't get complacent, and should go out and vote like Biden is -5, but that's not even close to the reality.
