I thought you had to set a bomb on the road and have the powerful red enemy on it when it detonated. But that did nothing and they were able to move on and capture the base. And blowing it beforehand, they get stuck there and in your way.

All you have to do is capture the command post. Just avoid M16 and Nimogen.

Ah I was overthinking. Sometimes I see the breadcrumbs of what to do in a map and assume theres not a simpler path. In this case I assumed I wouldnt be able to simply slip a echelon past and do what I needed to do without issues.

Most of the maps in this event suck, so no worries.

As for me, I just finished the event. A little heartwarming at the end, but overall, this event's plot felt like a lot of bluster without getting anything done or doing anything substantial. Can't even get a 5* with my true mask core since I got the last available ones from the event boxes, lmao. Guess I'll spend the rest of the event trying to get these last two 5* drops (about 200 nova medals right now ). I'm only at 58/61 missions done, though.

There's a lot on that map to distract and intimidate you but it's a very easy map, even on EX (EX is even a little faster). It's the same strategy either way: you send up a combat team to the upper-right corner of the Paradeus heliports on turn 1, sneak by M16 before she can block you, and rush to the Radar node at the bottom right corner in the S.F. area while defending your base from oncoming enemies. You can beat it in 3 or 4 turns and you don't need to fight any bosses or strong enemies.

On EX, the map gives 15 crates per run and it's a good way to farm Intel Points if you need/want to (60 per run).

I posted previously about the matter, there's actually 2 checks:
If you're referring to Ceia's guide, there's a check he missed for Normal; a new Rodel check spawns at the top of the roundabout after you start the map proper . It ends up being a full-auto map with 2 checks which isn't too bad. (The spawns don't have any X95 checks on EX unfortunately.)

Yeah, Judge on that map on normal has 30 Damage and 25 Armor. The EX version of her has 58 Damage and 25 Armor.

You'll need an armor value on your dolls equal to or greater than her Damage to reduce her shots to 1 damage each. To deal full damage, you'll need at least 25 armor penetration on your machine guns. Keep in mind that your dolls all have an initial armor penetration value of 15, so you just need 10 more to completely bypass Judge's armor (which is pretty much any AP ammo in the game, so you're spot-on there).

Ceia was using three MGs that contribute armor buffs from their tiles along with an Armor Fairy, so his SGs' armor values were pumped up way beyond what was necessary there (seriously, that's more the strategy for the EX fight). He was also using MGs that specialize in post-2nd magazine fire.

All that said, what team composition (levels, equipment details) were you using to fight Judge? I'm a little curious since you made it that far but are only dealing chip damage her.

EDIT: I forgot about your earlier post detailing your team. :P

The reason you got demolished is because you NEED 2 SGs to tank her fire. Judge targets two dolls at once. You also don't really need a HG here; 3 MGs will give you better damage output for this fight.

Like in the video, you'll want to move a MG up to the column with your SGs to avoid her AoE stomp attack and keep up the damage (move in a straight line or Judge will switch targets). The other two MGs should be spread out on 7 or 8 and the other on 1 or 2 so the stomp doesn't damage both at once. Since it's a boss battle, you can let them die if need be (no affection loss) or withdraw them when they're at critical. You'll still at least need the one you moved up to the front to finish her off before your shotguns conk out, so letting everyone fight to the bitter end is probably worth the repair cost. The battle is more of a damage race than a tough fight after you adjust for her gimmick and damage output.

Other than that, check your equipment and make sure that your armor is up to snuff (shouldn't be hard on Normal). Overall, your choice in SG and MGs are pretty good, just replace Mk23 with another SG. If you have SAT8 and Negev, I suggest using them here. They both make this fight much easier. SAT8 improves your survivability and Negev is practically Judge's weakness with how she powers up after a reload.

Edit: And after I said to use 3 MGs, forgetting that you already are using that many. I'm too tired.

I managed to kill Judge on normal with a 3MG/1SG/1HG group, with the SG only taking 1 damage, but by the end, it was the only one alive. Having two HOCs as backup was helpful, too.

Yeah, I hope I was at least somewhat helpful.

Go for it. Those two aren't required by any stretch but they're widely recommended because they noticeably make the fight easier. If you have other machineguns and shotguns that are in a better position than SAT and Negev, use those. They're mostly interchangeable here.

As long as you have the basic five squads, you can handle anything the game throws at you outside of ranking (even hard/EX content) (all squads at lv90+, max links, and good equipment*):
2 AR+SMG teams, with swap in dolls/equipment ready for night battles
2 HG+RF teams
1 MG+SG team, with optional swap-ins to make fighting Judge easier

*By "good equipment," I mean at least enhanced 4* equipment but preferably max calibrated, fully enhanced 5* equipment.

The squads are easy to take care of, thanks to the Forward Basecamp. The annoying part is raising fairies. The only saving grace there is that you should be fine with 3* fairies for most stuff, as long as you raise the right ones.

After that, you can pretty much afford to be lazy if you don't care about ranking stuff. Everything beyond that is gravy.

My AR/DEFY team has mostly maxed equipment because like in every game I play, I give my favorites the best stuff, even at the cost of balance lol

I have another AR/SMG team with Gr G11, K11, UMP 9 and 45, and that 5 star AR with the white outfit, long black hair and enormous knockers (I like how the first word suggested after enormous was boobs lol). I wanna replace K11 with SOP MOD though, but shes leveling up while helping my repair team. As in a team that I try to get damaged for the daily lol

Any suggestions for my second HG/RF team? I want to use WA2000 again. Unfortunately I dont think I have copies of any particularly good HGs, and my favorites (Five-seveN and Calico) are with IWS :<

Replacing K11 with Soppo mod is a good idea. Soppo's grenade is amazing after her upgrade with the secondary explosions. K11 isn't bad but 1.) she can't afford to lose any links in battle due to how her grenade works and 2.) each grenade is targeted separately, so damage output is a crapshoot against many enemies. When 416's mod comes out in the next major event, she'll be a great backup grenadier (and highly recommended to have two for grinding 12-4E).

The only other recommendation I'd make in that AR/SMG team is to replace UMP9 with someone else, maybe K5, Mk23, P22, or JS 9. 45 is a good main tank (and no other main tank beats her tiles), so stick with her unless you're up against something that requires a more specialized doll.

The third AR on your team, based on your description, would be Type95. Do you have her special equipment? If she isn't working for you, you can swap her with AK-12 (you want to keep AR-15 and M4 together and they really work with AN-94, so that leaves AK-12).

A second HG+RF team... (*thinks*) While WA is still a good choice, she is starting to fall behind with the latest content due to her low damage. I'd probably build something like...
For rifles, look into raising R93 (she's really good), Carcano M91/38 (Grapecano), Lee-Enfield, M14 mod, M200. These are the better general-use rifles outside of special circumstances.

For handguns, look into SAA mod (backline), HS2000 (backline), Px4 Storm (frontline), Python (backline), Grizzly (backline), K5 (frontline), Mk23 (frontline), Stechkin (backline), Jill (frontline) (with Bleeding Jane, Piano Woman, or Moonblast), El Clear (frontline). Those are some of the best choices for general use, not counting Five-seveN, Calico M950A, and Welrod.

Yeah, Type 95. Thats the name of ms. Juggsapoppin. And Im fairly certain I have her equipment.

Although now that I think about it, I havent really been using actual teams that I wanted; theyre mainly for the dailies/leveling. Thats why my dolls are spread into haphazard echelons with no synergy lol. I have SOP, Python, Ballista, Jill, NTW, Thompson, that free 3 star HG with the dual wielding skill, and some others just thrown together in random echelons with the hopes that they can take a hit and retreat lol

I think its about time to form actual teams besides my main AR/SMG, a night team, and the MG/HG/SG one :3

By the appearance of Negev and two shotguns, I take it that this is your anti-Judge echelon? As long as you equip armor plates with enough armor onto your SGs to reach 30 armor, you don't need to supplement with armor buff tiles but you do want your best MGs (especially Negev) to get those damage buffs from the shotguns. You'll also want to position your shotguns to make it easy for Negev to move up to the frontline at the start of the fight and avoid Judge's AoE attack.

Play around with that in mind and you should be able to get it.

Optional: I'd replace PK with QJY-8, Lewis, HMG-21, or MG4 for the extra armor buff. For positioning, you'll want to cover the two shotguns with all three MGs buff tiles if you can (at least two will do though -- it's not like you need a ton of armor on Normal).

If you have KSG ready to go, she can be a good replacement for Elphelt for Judge. Due to her naturally high armor, you won't need to buff it as much.

I know that shes objectively a better fit than 95 there, but I tend to put favoritism above practically in games and I dont want to separate her from the team, even at the cost of performance lol. Its not that Im trying to snub your suggestion or anything; Im just choosing to blind myself to good ideas in favor of keeping my favorite waifu on my best team lol

Is there a way to keep Elphelt on the anti-Judge team? I really like her, although I do have a maxed out KSG as suggested. Although tbh since its just a temporary thing I wouldnt mind.

Got my true core today. Decided to get that SMG thats heavy production only since I have all the shotties already. Was between her and that last 5* MG I dont have yet.

Nowhere close to 777 crates. Its my least favorite event grind so I usually say fuck it.

If it works for you, don't let me stop you. I'm more nitpicking on that squad than seriously objecting. Type95 is still usable (she's at the level of Homete). All I'm really saying is that usable does not always mean efficient. That said, waifu over meta isn't always a bad thing.

Elphelt should work just fine on that team if you really want her (really, any shotgun will work in her place). While not having the most helpful tile shape, her buffs are pretty good. Like I said, just play around with the formation a bit and see what works best for you; it doesn't need to be perfect.

The current best replacement for Vector, provided that you still want an incendiary user, would be Micro Uzi mod 2+. Other than that, it depends on what role you want filled.

Exu is pretty awesome. Arknights is my other major gacha game right now.

FWIW I use the same team comp but with JS9 for boss/shield units. Her tiles buff all the ARs from pos 8.

Here's the result of my first ranking run. It's nowhere near good enough for Top 100 but I'm hoping to get into the Top 10% bracket and not get backstabbed out of it. I'm also hoping to accrue enough resources for a 2nd try before the event is over.

Best I've been managing is shy of 500k lol; it's 28% at the moment but I wasn't aiming super high anyway, plus the 10% bracket is in the 760ks now according to Ceia's spreadsheets
The brackets did shift quite fiercely into the last week or so though, which now that I think about it was pretty similar to previous ranking map brackets; my initial score would probably barely break 45% now

Lol HOC repairs are so unreasonable. Somewhere one of my HOCs took 2 damage and it takes over 28 hours to repair that.

That's why you need to make sure enemies don't run into them! lol Kidding aside, it does make some sense, given that they're your heaviest weaponry.

My score that I screencapped here earlier was initially Top 7% but got pushed down to Top 8% yesterday. It may not be major but I didn't want to be backstabbed out of my target bracket. I did some more research, made some adjustments to my teams and made one more run today:



I'm not Top 100 material yet but I'm feeling pretty good right now.

If an enemy lands on a HOC tile they just go to 0 HP. What happened was on the ranking map I moved it through a toxic space.
