Over the last three years Ive been paying more attention to how I dress. Before that Id have one pair of Nikes and wear them down until I can stick my hand through the side or bottom and eventually get another pair...combine those shoes with some khaky/camo cargo shorts and a t-shirt one size too big for me and you had my daily uniform. But these days I'm pretty well dressed, thankfully. Started paying attention to fashion, it makes a decent difference in how people talk to you...I guess like any boost to attraction.

Anyways, shoe collection! The most important part of an outfit, along with fit.

Im wanting some black Chelsea boots and some red loafers eventually, but haven't decided on the pair yet.

Going out drinking - black boots.
Going out hiking - Quechua hiking boots
Casual wear(mostly daily) - None brand trainers or sometimes Earth Works steel toed boots.

The most I've ever spend on footwear is 30. I don't give folk more attention who ware brand names all the time too. IF a place sells good looking cloths I buy them regardless of brand. Primark over here has cheap enough prices and I can often find good cloths in their. Even more so some that are on sale. I see no reason not to buy them or pay more elsewhere.

In the house, flipflops. If I'm walking the dog, my floral wellies. If I'm just out in my chair, or going to a gig, usually black ankle boots, unless it's really hot, then maybe outdoor flipflops or the platform sandals I got in Toronto over a decade ago. For Pride I wear my rainbow-holographic kitten heels. I have some knee-high black boots someplace, but they need mending, they're leaking at the toes.

I don't really have very many pairs of shoes, because I don't walk a whole lot outside my home now I use a wheelchair most of the time, and I was never comfy in heels much above an inch before that.

I once had a beautiful pair of Prada Criollo boots, brown suede, found via a fellow Whovian in an outlet store somewhere in Australia. They're an exact replica of the pair Alex Kingston wore to play River Song during the Doctor Who episodes set in Utah; I got them for cosplay. Sadly, I no longer have them, because one of the movers stole them during my last move and since I wasn't the one who organised their employment, I couldn't get hold of them to find out who swiped them and demand them back. I've never managed to replace those. *sigh* I don't very often own designer clothing or footwear, but I loved those boots.

I suppose since you never work it's not surprising you still have work boots. See I, an employed person, go through at least 2 pairs of those a year.

They're not great. I got them from Walmart 6 years ago. I seldom wear them, because I don't often hike on rough terrain anymore, since I've moved to Toronto. I don't even think they're waterproof.

It is hard for me to find shoes that fit. I have a small foot and have to buy from the children's department. I have bought little kid light up, glittery shoes for the fun of it before to wear. When I was working though I wore black ankle boots. Because of my foot size I went by what fit, not brand. My tennis shoes that I currently own are Nikes but again, whatever I can find that fits.

Black Reebok DMX Max. They have air cushions in the soles and I'm on my feet all night at work.

https://www.reebok.com/us/walk-ultra-7-dmx-max-mens-shoes/EH0863.html

Only thing is the soles aren't waterproof, so if they get soaked, the cushions will deflate permanently. I have a pair of cheap Walmart sneakers to wear to and from my car if it's raining.

No Jesus shoes, that's for sure. They apparently cost like $1,500+ originally. Then the person (probably a scalper) bought them and is selling them for $4,000. I personally hope they get stuck with them.

Also, my mom just bought some like $800 shoes for my sister, I think. For her birthday.

Around the farm I mostly wear a pair of cheap rubber mud boots. But they're terrible in the summer because they don't breathe at all. And the backs always crack after 1 season making them worthless as mud boots.

I had a pair of cheap western boots from Walmart, but the sole is literally falling apart after wearing them almost daily for 3 years. Walmart doesn't carry that boot anymore and I've been having trouble finding anything similar at a decent price.

When I go into town for work or shopping or whatever, I have a pair of steel-toed boots from C.E. Schmidt, which is think is Tractor Supply's in-house brand.

I have a pair of Hush Puppies dress loafers that I think I've worn less than 20 times in the past 15 years. The soles barely have any wear.
