I followed RWBY for a while, then gave up towards the end of Blakes return to her home and the conflict with her family. Everything about her, as well as splitting up the team, was pissing me off.

Its Ok, there are so many other shows to watch.

I checked out after S4, tbh. Show was fairly entertaining up to midway-S3, at which point I suddenly found myself, to quote Yahtzee, more on board than a superglue enthusiast at a surfing competition; the second half of S3 was like cramming the end of Harry Potter Book 4 all the way through the beginning of Book 7 into a hypercondensed hour and a half of shit hitting the fan. Then S4 came along and, in keeping with the comparison, it felt like an entire season of Harry and Hermione farting around in the woods. They kicked the story into endgame all of the sudden, apparently thought it was a bad idea, and majorly hit the brakes, much to my disappointment.

I might get back into it at some point, though. It's definitely not like the show's a major time investment. And I'm sure it has the power to hook me again (major spoilers): even though Pyrrha's death was one of the most obviously foreshadowed events in the history of fiction, it still managed to break my heart, mostly through the buildup to it.

It gave them much need development. Especially Yang ang Weiss. Blakes part was ok but kinda slow on the build up. Ruby with Juane, Ren, and Nora was pretty decent, getting to see how what happened at Beacon effect them.

Thats the last chapter of Volume 3, were on 7 now.

Volume 4 is a major change of pace from 3, but thats the natural progression of things, considering what it came on the heels of. There has to be some sort of down time after that. 4 did a good job of balancing that. Giving you good story and giving you some action to keep you invested.

5 was kinda slow imo. I kept feeling my self just wanting to get to the conclusion and it being over with.

6 & 7 tho? Awesome.

is it bad that the way she fell apart after Salem told her about her mom made me laugh? that's always been her sore spot but for her to crumble like that was just fuel to my thoughts that ruby is not all there mentally then there's Ren's breakdown later on they are fucked meanwhile Jaune has become a very likable character shame about the shit haircut

Nah Rubes is definitely fucked in the head. Its something I hope they continue to touch on because she is definitely not ok. Juane either for that matter, although he, Ren and Nora get some kind of closure with Pyrrha. But with Ruby I think its kinda fucked up that not one of her friend has come out and directly asked her if shes ok. Qrow kinda did but thats his job. I want hug Ruby so bad tho.

Ren is fucked up because of his ability to sense emotions, and his feelings for Nora is fucking with that. He sensed Tyrian coming in Volume 4, senses the Ace Ops, but doesnt seem to be able to sense Tyrian in Mantle because of him being focused on his feelings of Nora. Then Neo fucked him up even more in the head when they fought her. Dude is an emotional wreck.

I don't watch the main show anymore but I still listen to the glorious music

Season 6's OST is the worst by far and Idk what happened

I do watch Chibi though; that show doesn't take itself seriously at any point so it's pretty enjoyable even as the main series goes on a tangent

It was kinda rough in the first two volumes yeah. Luckily that was a time when the episodes were mostly super short so it wasnt s chore to get through.

Not really. I watched it for a bit, but truth be told I don't think it ever lived up to their four main character introduction trailers. Pretty poorly written and voice acted imho, and the action took a huge step down after Monty Oum died.

Dont remember when I stopped watching, but I felt like I watched a whole season without really getting anything out of it before I gave up.

Also, the music? It's buttrock, so it can be catchy in a way, but the vocals were amateur hour from what I remember.
