Ive had a slight cough for like 1.5 months, a slightly runny nose for the past week, and when I woke up today my chest felt a bit tight

Very paranoid Im gonna get pneumonia and actually be at risk for severe corona symptoms if I get that

Sounds like you have a cold you are having problems getting rid of.

...dude. stay the fuck inside. the 1.5 months of coughing wouldn't be it, corona doesn't give a runny nose either. flu or cold are more likely with those symptoms.

that said pneumonia is one of THE biggest signs of having it so even if you don't, people will assume you do. medicine, rest, water.

I had some severe respiratory thing in November. (I tested negative for flu, but they think it was the flu)

So basically I had Corona virus before it existed. (It was something similar I guess?)

Hope I don't get sick again, but I don't work right now. (I only work seasonally around the holidays due to reasons.)

Im staying home from work today. If the chest tightness doesnt go away Ill get it checked on.

The cough was very slight until the last week with additional cold symptoms, and even now its pretty mild (its not uncontrolled; I can stop it if I consciously try to).

If you have chest pain you probably should see a doctor so they can put you on some antibiotics to combat possible pneumonia.

Pneumonia is still serious, don't get in the mindset that coronavirus is suddenly the only medical threat out there for you.

I wouldn't go for a runny nose or minor cold symptoms but signs of pneumonia you need to be seen before it gets worse.

I've been telling the doctor for 3 years now I have chest pains and tightness. They keep saying they think I am insane basically.

So here in Greece the goverment took extra measures because apparently the ones that we have took so far were enough. I mean we had 70 cases in around 1 day. So now we have:

All schools of all ranks are closed for around 2 weeks.
All courthouses closed for 2 weeks.
Cinemas, Libraries, Theaters, museums, etc. for 2 weeks.
Basically everything that has a lot of people closes for 2 weeks.

This affects me too because I work as a food delivery person so I get to sit for 2 weeks. But the problem is that I don't know if it counts as a paid vacation or something. Guess I will learn that too. So since I can't go out I guess I s hall watch porn and play games or something.

respiratory issues aren't just cold/flu/corona, norovirus, allergies, certain infections, plenty more things out there. but do take care of yourself, keep taking daily multivitamins, avoid smoking of any kind, and stay on top of your health. respiratory issues are definitely a known precondition for corona.

BRO like the head of Walmart, Walgreens, Target, CVS were all called up to speak and I couldn't help but think about how potentially bad that was. Trump trivializing his own potential exposure after that one reporter asked about it only made it funnier.

Well if this was around in October and November like reports are starting to say it makes me wonder about the sickness like half my family got in November. I was sick for three weeks with fever on and off and could barely move and had a nasty cough. Id feel fine one day and a day later Id be taken out again. Ended up testing negative for flu but they said it was just bronchitis. Same thing for my parents too, but my dad was sick until the beginning of January. My sister had the same thing in January as well, her cough is still around now too. God I hate this.

it was Wuhan SARS back in December in China, found by Li Wenliang. you can maybe make a case for November in Wuhan but everything points to December over there.

nothing over here until January.

SCMP is reliable, it's one of China's bigger papers. interesting to see them tying it back even further. and yes, it does correct me in saying it wasn't found by Li, he's just the biggest and most well known whistleblower because he was forced to say he was wrong. him and a few other people were talking about it in a WeChat together.

but i still wouldn't assume it's what you guys had. 3 weeks is longer than this thing, the infection time table is all over the place, and all of you would've destroyed all of Mass by now. you guys had something but not this particular virus.

Called the advice nurse and they said it probably wasnt anything to worry about but that I might want to get a drop in appointment for piece of mind, so I am currently waiting for that.

Looks like theyve diverted everything (besides suspected covid cases I assume) to one entrance and are giving everyone masks upon entering.

The toilet paper situation is kinda weird because it should just be a temporary shock; people aren't going to use more toilet paper than they did previously. You just have a combination of people getting it earlier than they usually would and a transfer from company/school/etc bathrooms to personal bathrooms.
