Assuming I'll live fine with both amounts of cash I'd take job satisfaction over wage. While more money would be great and I could retire early the stress could put me in a grave quicker and more importantly I'd hate my job.

I chose a job with less pay when my first kid was born, to improve my quality of life, and have no regrets. Money is still good, just not what it was.
I do miss my old job, but only because it involved heavy travel and I miss seeing the country. But overall I'm happier at my new job, and no amount of money can make up for that. --- https://imgur.com/ZwO4qO2 Bluer than velvet was the night... Softer than satin was the light... There is no such thing as a stressful office job. Unless that stress comes from outside factors like having nearly impossible quotas and being under constant threat of being fired. But the work itself is never stressful.

Yeah, almost all of the stress from office jobs is artificial. Remote work, which could also make up some of the difference in salary. Granted, I've done a lot of remote work over the years and... honestly, it's not as fun as people think.

The second option. The first sounds like a sure-fire way to go insane. It should be flipped with the office job being relatively stress-free but the job you like being stressful.

I had a job that I was making about 120k, but I had to quit. The job was so fucking shitty, and my boss was straight up trying to work us to death.
Now I'm at a job that makes a little more than half that, but I'm most likely going to move to another job soon that pays around 80k or so.
