My headphone wires don't dip that low because my speakers have an audio input that sits on the desk. Also for computing, I prefer traditional wooden chairs to computer chairs; I've never found a computer chair that does my posture and back any favors, and I've tried a bunch.

My headphones have a short cable that plugs into my speakers rather than the computer itself, so it doesn't get in the way.
