I dunno man, you're really diminishing the influence of the executive office of our government on a national and international scale that the role has. It's not like some guy at Subway messing up your sandwich order--sure, it may inconvenience your lunch break for a few minutes, but it isn't a big deal. Our country was built on the decisions of leaders who had the highest levels of political power accessible to them, and a good amount of those decisions made centuries ago still have ramifications today. These decisions have and can affect millions of people around the world.

This show is just so they have something to talk about come election time.

But the democrats are making a mistake.

They lost the previous election because people hated politicians more than they did Trump. Even the Republican Party was surprised Trump won candidacy, that wasn't supposed to happen in the first place. They were all surprised how much they were hated that people choose Trump over them.

If they want to win, they need to focus on improving their own reputation, and the reputation of of politicians in general, rather than just attack Trump the whole time, which already didn't work the first time.

Yup. They were mad about things have been in politics. So they supported an outsider. And like I have said before, a lemon. It was meant to leave a sour taste in the mouths of the establishment. Of both sides.

But that wasnt what happened, was it? The GOP found that this guy was aligned with all their greedy qualities. They could use him to give themselves and their donors huge tax breaks, and stack the courts, and they did. They took that lemon and made themselves a nice tall glass of lemonade.

But you said it yourself... that wasnt the intention. And so the people have seen the real enemy of the people. And they have begun to vote them out. Look at the last two elections. States that havent been anywhere close to blue are now purple.

If they want to win, they need to focus on improving their own reputation, and the reputation of of politicians in general, rather than just attack Trump the whole time, which already didn't work the first time.

And by bringing up to Moscow Mitch McConnell the HR1 Bill, they have taken an essential step to give the power BACK to the people. By being a check on the president, they have done what we have hoped for, and voted them in for.

The jig is up. Unless the GOP cheat and seek outside interference, they will most certainly lose in 2020 across the board.

Having your case dismissed is not the same thing as being exonerated. OJ Simpson was declared Not Guilty because even though the evidence implicated him, the prosecutors failed to prove their case beyond a reasonable doubt.

They proved their case just fine. Every documentary ever made about it goes into tons of detail as to why he got away with it. Thats why when he tried to get his own stuff back in Las Vegas they sentenced him to an over-the-top amount of time. Which, apparently didnt work too well again.

No president has ever been removed after impeachment. Nixon resigned before the vote even. The rest were acquitted in the senate.

Realistically no one counted on the people, that were okay with Russians interfering in our election because it benefitted them, to actually vote using their nonexistent conscience.

They care because it directly affects them. From the attempt to rescind the ACA, to the trade war with China, to the Paris Accord, to the changes in CBP and ICE enforcement, to limiting the number of refugees and legal immigrants entering the country, to the tax reform changes, to the recent change to SNAP eligibility, to judicial appointments, to the military decisions affecting Turkey, Syria and the Kurds...there has been plenty of substantive policy disagreements.

Note: I am not making an argument for/against any of these policies. But all of these have happened. What an honestly odd thing to say >_>

The stupidity of this remark is particularly astounding, as is the hypocrisy given that you assign no blame to previous presidents for things happening under their administrations even when they played an actual role in it. Here you don't even have that to fall back on because the senate is not an impartial jury, so they're not evaluating this with an eye towards what actually happened and whether a crime occurred beyond a reasonable doubt. Even before the full facts of the case were known, most people - even hardcore Democrats - were already calling that the senate wouldn't vote to impeach unless Trump's numbers absolutely cratered and forced their hand.

He says that while failing to acknowledge that nothing is impartial about the house and that even before Trump took office Democrats were calling for his impeachment.
