Trump has worked so hard to undo so much of what Obama did. He is envious of admiration the people had for him.

Well, regardless of what happens next, he will have that on his record. Does that help fix the divide hes done to the country? The deregulation of the EPA? The economic hardship of farmers? Does it bring Heather Heyer back?

No. But its still nice to know that he isnt happy.

Trump should be happy. It's one of the only times he'll ever get to be compared to Bill Clinton, a far better president.

I wish Democrats had waited longer to vote on impeachment, though. It's Trump's fault they haven't gotten any actual major players to come testify, but I think it'd help a ton if they got Guiliani (seriously, the more he talks, and under oath, the better) or Bolton or the like in there, even if it means another few months of court battles.
Cause Mitch is just gonna hold a vote within 2 weeks of resuming session next year, and let the votes fall short of 67, then loudly proclaim, "TRUMP HAS BEEN EXONERATED!" and move on.
Any actual investigation has to be done in the House or it's just plain not getting done.

The "trial" is then held in the Senate.

Bill Clinton was impeached, but was not removed from office by the Senate, for example.

The House committee voted on 2 articles of impeachment, but the House as a whole hasnt yet voted on it and wont until next week. Hes not impeached until at least one of the two passes a vote there.

Okay, then wheres this audio? Youd think that Democrats would be blasting this audio on every street corner for all to hear if it was damning evidence that the transcripts were not representative of the actual conversation the President had, yet that still hasnt happened. Instead the articles of impeachment were just voted on in committee without this.

That is a part of an ongoing criminal investigation. That does not just get thrown around willy nilly. Especially if the prosecutor believes it advantageous to hold on to until the last possible minute dictated by law, and even then the only other person that will get to hear it is the defense.

Having your case dismissed is not the same thing as being exonerated. OJ Simpson was declared Not Guilty because even though the evidence implicated him, the prosecutors failed to prove their case beyond a reasonable doubt.

Here there's even less of a chance of that happening because the senate is not an impartial jury. Even before the full facts of the case were known, most people - even hardcore Democrats - were already calling that the senate wouldn't vote to impeach unless Trump's numbers absolutely cratered and forced their hand.

And yes, you're right, the transcript never does outright say that he's withholding aid for the Biden info. But a parade of witnesses with firsthand knowledge of the situation sure did, and their testimony is about as damning an indictment as I've ever seen in a political corruption case.

Not to mention Trump just immediately brings up Biden and Crowdstrike directly after Zelenskiy talks about the substantial aid the US has given Ukraine, leading in with those famous ten words, "I would like you to do us a favour, though". That may not be Trump saying, "I will not release the aid until you do the following things for me", but it's about as close as you're going to get. Criminals generally try to keep their words vague to avoid incriminating themselves on conversations that might be recorded.

Impeachment is moving forward because it has to. No time to wait for things to be tied up in courts when the crime is against the upcoming election.

I mean, the senate should take everything into account. But in the end of the day this is a political process more than anything else. Thats why the GOP can so brazenly brush away facts.

But the American people can take that into account come next November. Even Matt Gaetz said it when talking about Hunter Biden, Criminals dont just change. They remain criminals always. Thats not an exact quote but he said something to that extent. So we are to believe that the man in charge of Trump University, Individual #1, is all of a sudden going to stop being a criminal?

Fuck! The worst part is that he isnt even sorry about what he did. AND he got GOP members like Radcliffe to jump on the idea that soliciting involvement in political elections from foreign nations is okay.

We are seeing our election process go down the drain by the very party that works hard to suppress our votes. Dont take my word for it. Educate yourself and then think about it.

Except for the documented fact he was NOT ELECTED BY THE PEOPLE, he won the electoral vote only. The people actually voted for Clinton in the final vote count.

BUT it did find 8 counts of obstruction of justice on behalf of this president. Remember, Russia... if youre listening...

Im glad youre trying this tactic, though. Because it highlights the similarities between Trump and his supporters. Take a stance, lose, and then take a victory lap.

Mueller report comes out: Trump has Barr say hes been exonerated despite it highlighting 8 instances of obstruction of justice.

IG report last week comes out: No bias found in investigation, and instead they found that there was bias against Clinton. What does Trump say? He claims victory despite that.

And when the senate fails to remove him: He will claim to be exonerated despite the fact that anyone with more than 3 brain cells can see that he obstructed justice. If you dont think so... YOU put a subpoena in a desk and ignore it and see what happens.
