I do use tap water for my tea though, but of course the water is boiled.

I grew up on sulfur tap water.

I used to drink it a lot. However since I've had a stomach ulcer burst and had it cut out I don't do it as often. The ulcer might not have been related to that but I'm a tad paranoid at times.

I live on a farm and our water comes from a well. I don't really trust it enough to drink, so I have a bunch of 3 gallon bottles that I take to the store and refill there. It costs about $1.15 to fill the each bottle, which is way cheaper than pre-filled bottles.

I've also got a dispenser that gives both hot and cold water, which is really nice.

No, because my home relies on well water so that's kinda dangerous especially considering that Connecticut uses some kind of chemicals when it salts its roads (or maybe it's just way heavy on salt) and all of that gets into the ground.

What option is there for boiling tap water first?

In other states or countries with better tasting water, yes. Like, I'll happily drink from the bathroom sink in those cases. Where I live in Florida, the water is gross cause of how hard it is, so I'd rather buy it.

I only drink tap water if I overload it with ice. It doesn't come out of the tap cold enough for my tastes

Nah. Occasionally I might drink it filtered, but it just tastes bad to me. I'll brush my teeth with it or shower in it, but otherwise no thanks.

The water from our well is so fine. It tastes best coming out of a garden hose.

Theres a lotta **** in tap water that needs to be filtered. Our city water tested for like 10 different chemicals linked to cancer that was found in recent tests

I live in San Antonio. the tap water here is EXTREMELY hard. I am talking I get major calcium build up on my dishes if I don't hand dry them.

Yes. As a kid we also had well water that had so much iron in it not only could you taste it, it colored your hair red and you smelled like an iron pipe.

tap water here is cleaner than bottled water, we have really high standards when it comes to water purification(or anything to do with water).
even the tiniest bit of harmless contamination sends alarm bells ringing.

Not really. I tend to drink stuff like soda and juice. When I do drink water it's usually when there's no other source but fountains or bottled. Nothing against it; I just... don't.
