Sorry Yuffie fans, that's my fault. I was out at dinner and forgot to set a timer on my phone, by the time I realized and checked in it was too late. I will say that ruined the rest of the dinner for me though.

And if Quina inherits the mantle of Braska I'd be all for that!

Oh also, since we're at the top 15, now's the time for me to make my ask.

If you're interested, please make your own personal ranking of the 15 characters left by order of how much you'd want them to win.

Which should line up to the order of preference that you'd vote for them in the finals, and I know you might have some weird "I'd vote A over B, B over C but i'd do C over A", no, just like... let's just get some linearity here. A strict ordered ranking of 1 (most preferred) to 15 (least preferred).

Even if there's zero chance that your "1" can win, it's still your most preferred that you would vote for over all others so, rank accordingly.

Don't post or PM it to me or anything, just throw it in a notepad file. When we get to the finals you can let me know what the ranking #s were for each of the two finalists and we can crunch some stats on that, who "won", who "lost", see if it all averages out or what it looks like generally. Thanks!

You just need to copy that and put a number from 1 to 15 (non-repeating) to each of them. If you have Excel you throw the names in one column and the number in another. And then you can sort ascending!

Maybe I just like making lists though... or gripping the tough mental question of, which of these two characters I care nothing for would I vote for if it comes to that.

As cool as a Quina win would be, I definitely think Kefka and Squall are far more deserving. Also Auron and Rydia are so low cause they already won, I know Gilgy did too, but I like him a fair bit more than the other 2

Let's not pretend Seymour's upswing in the last couple of years is an established norm among all those always-do-wells you listed out there. This is still only the third time he's been in the top 20 in all contest appearances.

I kinda meant like a "fun" side project that you are a little less attached to because it isn't quite at the level of your legitimate favorite character. Fun wasn't really being used in that way there. I mean for example I have a lot more fun seeing Seymour actually do well than say, if he were replaced by Wakka in this situation or something. I would consider Wakka a "fun little thing" for me though because I'd probably be making WhiteWakka images and going "Wakka is coming", but it wouldn't be quite as serious of a thing if he failed (obviously).

Barret and Seymour are pretty similar in that I think a couple of really good years have made people forget they come from a long line of either underwhelming or mediocre performances. I mean I don't want to make this a contest of "woe is me" or anything, but how many people that have played this for a long, long time took as long as I did to see your fave make the top 20 and treat it like it was the promised land.

I mean, some people are so spoiled in this they get bummed out if all they get is top 20 and no top 5 or whatever (0 of those for me).
