As it is, hes now staying with his sister until he gets an apartment, because his wife is staying at the house that they bought...with his money...because of his work...which she had issue with him doing.

No she doesnt work. They have 1 kid who's in college and lives in an apartment by campus, so he doesnt live with them. And idk what too much means, I don't exactly micromanage it. No there really isnt. No abuse, no cheating. He works at a plant and he doesnt control his hours. Sometime he works nights but sometimes he works days, but he makes 6 figures doing so and it allowed them to live quite comfortably. But now their kid doesnt live with them anymore so shes divorcing him because he isn't home enough (again, beyond his control).

I mostly just find it unappreciative because I seriously doubt he wants to work all those hours but he made a good living for them and they had a bunch of luxuries (sending kid to expensive private school, nice house in a good neighborhood, and they did have vacation time and they went to some cool places like DC and Hawaii when he was off). But I mean if that's how she feels then fine, but its fucked up that after all he's done she can just say the word and kick him out the house. And she'll probably continue to get money from him despite her objecting to working too much. It's just bullshit.

By all means please continue to tell me something I don't know about my own godfather and his wife. It must be that I hate her, not that you know, I haven't stayed with them for extended periods of time on two occasions and I always loved both of them. No it's because I hate her and this isn't coming as a shock to me at all and I've always wanted that bitch gone /s. Don't act like you fucking know me or the nature of my relationship with either of them.

There really was nothing else that I know of. No abuse, no cheating, he didnt get busted committing any crimes. This what everyone in my family including him has told me, is that after their kid moved out she got lonely because he wasnt home enough and wanted to leave.

Which as I said before, I still think that's pretty short sighted and unappreciative because him making those sacrifices is why they had the life they had. But I can maybe see how she was used to having the kid at home and being busy with that and now not having that role makes her feel left out. But if she hates him working so much then she should be the one to go stay at her parents or her sister or whatever.

I know both of them very well ever since I was a child. They've been dating/married since before I was born (I'm 30). She used to babysit me all the time and pick me up from school, she was actually kind of like a 2nd mother to me. When I went to college my parents moved and they didnt have a spare bedroom when I would change apartments so I stayed with them a couple of times as a stop gap between apartments. I was very close to them and I've always loved both of them.

I don't see why this is so outlandish and people are trying to look deeper into "her side." People get divorced for this all the time. Especially after their kids move out and the house wife is no longer occupied. He worked all the time. Probably came home tired as hell. She's a house wife and I assume she always has been. She needs attention because she has nothing else. Something a lot of house wives struggle with.

Only thing I'll add is that maybe someone else was giving her attention on the side. Maybe not even an affair, but something she would pursue if she was available. Now she is.

I'm 47 and work at a major manufacturer. I see it happen all the time. It's sad. You have no choice but to work and work OT when they say so (up to 10 hours a day for 19 days straight, used to be worse though).

There's more to life than money, but you need to make a decent living.

Sadly this is one of those catch 22 scenarios, his wife's wants his attention, but also a standard of living that requires his time so it's a no win situation. Although it's possible she's was just tired of the relationship and was looking for a excuse out.

And no offense to your godfather, but moving out of his own home for her convience are common characteristics of a simp. Which somewhat can explain why the relationship has desovled, once a woman loses respect for a man it won't last long. This is also one of reasons why relationships where the woman out earns the man do not last long either.

She'll probably come crawling back to him later when she can't find a suitable replacement. Happened to my brother-in-law, and I hate that he let that bitch of his ex-wife come right back. The woman cheated on him, got caught, and used the "working too much" excuse to get out and still won't admit to having an affair at all. She's left once before, too, so this isn't the first time he's been through this.

EDIT: I saw someone post something about date night. My brother-in-law took her and their kids out every weekend, or when h e was off.

My boss and his wife are getting divorced for this exact reason. He runs two business. An electronics company and 18 months ago he started a school. He is at the office 16-18 hours per day 7 days per week. When trying to guilt me into working on my days off he said "I haven't seen Fiona (his 11 year old daughter) in over 3 weeks. I'm only asking you to do 1 hour each day".

Now granted, his wife is an extremely jealous person and also a stuck up bitch. She would watch the security cameras from the school because she thought 2 of the Chinese teachers were trying to fuck him.

Even though he is wealthy, never being around your family is definitely going to cause a lot of problems.
