What does the pain before you made the decision to remove them feel like? Curious and I want to know.

I was in the marines, boot camp specifically, and they more or less just said here navy doctor practice in this kid.

I had 8 stitches in my gum after some new navy dentist ripped my jaw apart.

Don't know when it started specifically, but I started to notice a very mild but dull ache in my molars whenever I woke up in the morning. Usually it would pass, or I would get so used to it that I stopped noticing.

Then a few months after that, it started getting worse and the pain would sometimse get sharp spikes where it felt like somebody was jabbing a spoon into my gums at the back. Not debilitating, but VERY noticeable.

Eventually it progressed to the point where the dull throbbing pain wouldn't pass or couldn't get ignored, so I had them removed.

I was told years ago that two of my wisdom teeth were cracked and that I shouldve been in agonizing pain, but I didnt feel a thing so I kept them in. More recently theyve finally been starting to bother me so Im probably going to get them taken out soon.

My jaw ached constantly, and I was needing stronger and stronger drugs for the pain. They never properly grew into my mouth and were rotting from the inside. My mouth ached on and off for a half decade, but no tooth pain since I got them removed at 26.

I'm in the process of getting mine removed now. I have 3 out of 4 removed so far. I was supposed to get them removed 10 years ago but never did until now. Over the years they started to crack and bits of them fell out.
The one on my bottom right still needs to be taken out a few weeks from now and the top right of my mouth is still aching a bit, but the left part of my mouth feels completely healed.

Found out I have an impacted tooth in the back. It started showing now an theres talk about rooting it in place. Otherwise they'd be tanking it out from the side of my gums. This can't be the norm. Kinda scared tbh.

I didn't have any pain - some of them were impacted and likely to cause problems later, so I had them removed before they did.

It wasn't a big deal - I took Percocet for a few days after, then Advil for a few days after that, then was mostly fine. Stuck to a liquid diet for a few days, then ate mostly soft foods for a week or two, then was more or less good.

As long as you keep your gums clean and avoid drysocket or infections, you'll be good.

I kept having headaches but mine was impacted and basically growing sideways.

Needless to say, that pain pailed in comparison to the pain I felt after oral surgery. My oral surgeon gave me tylenol with codeine and sent me on my way.

Once the anesthetics wore off the codeine didn't do shit for the pain. I called him(the surgeon) up right away and he sent a prescription for something stronger to my pharmacy.

I went under general and did all four. They were coming out and I initially ignored the advice of the professionals and it led to random headaches which interferes with my studies and work. The trick to avoiding pain is actually to keep your mouth sterile afterwards using a syringe and salt water whenever you eat anything. Try to eat liquid foods which can go straight down without chewing so they minimise risk of infection from bits being left in mouth.

No more pain from them than from the rest, but my upper jaw was so overcrowded that the two up there didn't have any room to erupt until after other molars were removed, so they lay under the roof of my mouth at a 45 angle, very close to the surface, so that every time I had a cold or the flu, those parts of the roof of my mouth would always be really sore. I still have the upper right wisdom (one of my only remaining teeth & the sole surviving tooth on the top row at all), because it erupted after my upper-dental clearance. It doesn't give me any more trouble than any other tooth, now (though all my teeth crack & crumble thanks to dental hypoplasia, so!).

Ouch. Are there issues with the dip? It's my worst fear tbh.
