Yeah this one and there is one to the north of that against a kappa kid and it's no swim high wind. I cant beat those two at all

Holy shit fuck this Ho-Oh Spirit battle. It's a giant Charizard with curry that has a +Fire damage on it. I have no idea how to beat this. He just nukes you no problem.

This gave me fits for a while. I stayed in the middle during stage change and hit him into the fire to win

South of that is a spirit that prevents swim failure if i recall.

this is about the point I've gotten to on World of Light

I have no problem completing them but hitting the shield every time makes it feel like a waste of time.

Also fuck you Anna, making Pyra's spirit so expensive to buy. Jerk.

You can go back to the path after the initial split and go down instead of to the kart area and wrap around behind fiora to get link and anna shop

Inkling was my first loss because of that wackass stage. I kept on going up and down the wrong way and missing my attacks because of how slanted it is. I ended up bouncing off the hard part of the stage and recoiling downwards. Moray Towers manages to be one of the worst stages in both Splatoon and Smash Brothers...

characters move about the same speed they did in 4 but it feels faster due to reduced jumping frames and less landing lag

When I think Brawl though I think unplayable input lag. This is just like Wii U but it's just a lot of lag spikes.

You can't taunt online. That brings it down by a lot.

Also, I don't like how you can't change characters in rematches. Really annoying in private rooms since you'll lose your spot if you try.

Took a few tries, but I beat the Ken + 3 Wii Fit Trainers fight and it was a much needed confidence booster, haha. It's also now my best spirit.

I went back to the Fiora fight now that my power level is around 4500, and still can't win but one time I did actually come close. Knocked out Lucina and had Shulk around 80%.

see I'm coming off Kirby Star Allies so if anything it's been harder for me because the controls are just similar enough to throw me off. I keep hitting A to jump and thinking Kirby has infinite inflate jumps

Adventure on hard is legitimately insane sometimes, holy crap. Actually had to turn it down to normal because I was at a point where most 3* fights were out of the question, never mind legendary ones.

Well luckily it seems like last night my lag issues were just a fluke or a bad connection (playing at a time when no one else in North America was awake may have not been the best idea...) because today the online has been really good.

Also, hell yeah King K Rool, dude is so much fun to play. Every time you catch onto a bad habit of your opponents, he has the answer, whether it's armoring through things, countering/reflecting, a down throw that combos into kills at reasonable percents, tossing projectiles out to cover things, just raw power to punish stuff...I normally don't like slow heavyweights but with this dude and hopefully Incineroar once I unlock him, that might be changing for me in Ultimate.

I think their difficulty is scaled to what you were just doing. Beating them after getting 8.8 on classic is almost impossible for me, but theyre easy after getting a novice spirit

Smash get yay! Played Kirby's arcade mode first because I wanted to know who the spoiler was and that was indeed very cool! And then got my main as the first unlock, hell yeah! So my very first impression is that the game feels good. I'm liking the pace of it so far, the graphics are even better than the videos looked, and I'm loving all the new particle effects and such.

However! My first match with my friends was not so good. We had 2 pro controllers, a wired 3rd party, and a set of joycons, but my controller was lagging like insanely bad and apparently I was the only one. I'm not sure what that was all about but it was gross. Hopefully that's not going to be a problem going forward...

Oh! And the mini game with the credits is awesome! Definitely the best one yet!
